Talking Dyno Day!

What's up everybody. So today I went an got my 09 SS/TC dynoed at Specialty Z. It's in Chatsworth,CA. First off real cool guys an great customer service. They have a Dynojet which is the roller dyno. It is a very accurate dyno, but anyways we do three total pulls. The first two pulls are in 4th gear an my car made 261whp/258wtq . Third pull was in 3rd gear an my car made 257whp and 253wtq. The only thing done to my car is an Apexi Voltage/Grounding stabilizer that's it. I was really impressed with my numbers for being stock, even the specialty z guy was impressed. I was only able to get a print out of my 3rd gear pull though . But my SS made 261whp back to back.

Damn..those are pretty good #s for sure. Most stockers on a DynoJet (used at SpecialtyZ) get around 240 WHP.

Yea I believe so. Let me know I'll roll with u to go get dynoed. I'm saving to grab my gms1 tune. But I just had to spend a grip of money on new rotors and pads. Ive been hyped up all day since I got dynoed.

I'm down, I will let you know in a couple of weeks . Why not go with a conservative trifecta tune for like 300 dollars less?

You 2 should head over to the socal ecotec forum. It's just us so cal members, and we have monthly meets and whatnot.

specialty z uses a eddie current dyno jet... reads similar to a mustang

<--- steve from gme

are your numbers smoothed to 5, set to STD, and in RPM? just curious because when read by speed and theres no smoothing, the numbers tend to inflate

no i only have the Apexi Supergrounding Kit on my car. Im buying tranny mounts from another SS owner on this forum. Im slowly gonna build it up and maybe even think of doing pistons and rods to make the motor bulletproof as i like to call it lol

I beleive it was 500whp when it slightly bent.. but isnt it supposed to be rated by torque? my guess is 500wtq as well.
