Elevation Variations
My car has been knocking when I have been driving over the Sierra's. I am going from 1000ft to 9000ft then back to 5000ft. within a few hours. Is my car just trying to keep up with the elevation change causing the knock?

No neither my car nor my wifes 2010 knock even going higher altitude than that and back down. Are you audbly hearing it or seeing it on a monitor? They do sell crappy 85 octane at higher elevations did you happen to put some of that in you're car? Even at high elevation keep at least 91 octane in you're SS/TC. N/A cars can get away w/o knock on 85 at high elevations but I do not run it even in our N/A car.

I thought you meant knocking or pinging as you were driving under load at different elevations not sitting and idling. I can't really tell from the vid the high pressure fuel pump makes some noise ticking in the vid can't really tell if it is something worse lifter related or anything. You're car is doing the noise all the time? That it has not been previously and only after you drive through the mountains? Not when you are back at lower elevations kinda confused now. how long have you had this car and it is all stock?
