Takes less than 15 minutes, for a 1st timer, for the upper mount. 3 bolts, 2 nuts off - pull out the stock mount - put in the new mount - re install the 3 bolts and 2 nuts...

You should support the engine with a jack or something prior to removing the bolts/nuts from the factory mount; it also keeps everything aligned better.

Hopefulley you have an intake already? If not you will most likely have to remove the factory air box for the install on your SS/TC

Block of wood to distribute the weight some, make sure you dont "point load" the oil pan so you crack it.

Any questions during the install of the TTR Mount, just let us know

i got the inserts. i cant even see where they are and im kinda debating on getting the stop tech mount.

damn Aaron you didnt tell me that engine mount install would be so easy. You should recomend to people since they have to take out the intake anyways they might as well clean the filter while its out. this was a great install tho awesome product.

You will have a much more firm shift, better feel for the car, less wheel hop.

Side effect is you will have some vibs at idle.

if ur getting the stop mounts like im ordering then its very strongly recommented that u remove the ttr upper engine mount for the stop mounts rotate ur trans and engine and will cause stress on the upper solid engine mount and will defeat its purpose and possible affect the stop mounts postion.

i think he means the stop mounts will rotate your transmission and motor, therefore adding stress to to the upper engine mounts defeating their purpose and possibly harming them...is that what you meant sheldon729

We do not recommend our upper mount, with the "other brand" rotated mounts. There have been issues with this combination.

We have NOT had any issies with members using the STOP mounts with our TTR Upper engine mount...
This combination can be used together.

Clarification for all.

What does this mean? Basically "pointing" all the load to one spot causing more stress there increasing the probability of breaking it?

what i did was put a piece of wood on my jack and you only need to jack the engine up like a few clicks just so that the bolt holes line up and the engine is less stressed on that side. theres really no where else to jack the engine up so put a piece of wood on the jack and then loosen the bolts and just get it done as fast as you can but make sure you do everything right. should only take 10-15 mins.

Aaron whats the install time on those stop techs?

As Eric stated in post #22 is correct

Install time is about 1 hour for both, best guess. Basic hand tools needed is all. Comes with a 6 or 7 page COLOR step-by-step install guide.
