Engine question

It only happens when it's cold and I assume its normal

The temps in ny have been ass backwards going up and down like crazy

when i start my car on a cold start it'll sputter type like drop down in RPMS then go back up to normal high idle, is this normal because of the weather change?

sounds like the exact problem im running into upon cold starts. dose it give off a weird noise once you see the rpms drop?

Well its due to the cold. Fuel and the maf . Maf is based on a heated wire that gives correct fueling when air is passed through it. So if its colder or warmer is wussrs dictates the fueling. So its prob just from the cold maf or cold fuel .. or even drastic changes in weather.

I've noticed my car does it right as the starter is retracting in cold weather. I got the noise, pretty sure it was just my flywheel being ground down a little bit . Today it was in the 40's and started with no issue whatsoever.

Before cranking let the car be in on position and see if it helps.
