I have an 09 LNF Cobalt with the factory F35 Trans and linkages. A while back, the shifter began to "fall out" of place and get really loose. Discovered that the forward and backward movement clamp was sitting on top of the transmission shift bracket, not clipped in. Is the only real fix a set of new linkages, or does ZZP or OTTP or someone else sell an upgraded clamp? From what I've found, the factory ones use a plastic snap ring to hold it in place so an upgraded clamp would be nice. Thanks!
I don't think either company has an alternative to the OEM cables. With that said, you can just get a new pair of OEM cables.
There are alternatives (look at what Fiero and/or Goblin people use), but I think you'll likely be on your own as far as correct lengths and any other real specifications. I haven't seen anyone swap away from the OEM cables. I would certainly be interested in something like that though - F23 cables and my custom turbo downpipe don't get along too well.
