Finally got my 2010 SS

All I can say is wow!!! I have been driving a 2007 cobalt LS for the last 4 years as my daily driver lol, what an upgrade this car is. I would have to say it is probably even more fun to drive than my 87 5.0 stang. Car really makes a lot of power for a 4 cylinder and the handling is phenomenal.
Just wondering if you guys waited until u really opened the car up, 500 miles. 1000 miles or if you got on it right from the start. I have about 330 miles on mine right now.
Got a decent deal on the car too, wound up putting 5k down and my payments are 245 a month

thanks again guys

330 miles? Beat on it.. but not from a dig and not above 5500 rpm. Just roll into it once you're out of first gear. And only when its at operating temperature.

You're alot nicer than I am. I started really using the throttle at about 75 miles.

Edit: First oil change should be no later than 1,000 miles.

If you plan on taking this to the track here are my observations with my 2010

Get some trans mounts - so far wheel hop dented hood with Hahn CP and also broke the electrical connector off my High Pres Fuel pump with the tab on the bottom of the stock CP

I also went from an LS to the SS, and I had the exact same feeling as you have right now, I've had the car for 10 months and I still havent come down from that high its the best.

this is by far a great car

ya I drove the **** out of my car when I test drove it lol I drove my car hard from day one 21miles. Also I now have 19,700miles on it about 10,000 is high way the other is 10psi or more every time i shift I love the BOV and I even like the BPV.

After you start to think your car is slow get the gms1 and you will be happy.

If you want to take your car to the track then get a tune and DP for the price of gms1

Ya gms1 makes it even better and keeps the warranty i drove it hard uere and there but didnt go crazy right away.. I was told by a professional engine builder that most engines are sort of broken in from the factory.. Take it easy for a bit but drive it like you intend to once you have a little bit of mileage on it.

I waited. I followed the break in procedure to the letter.

The SS/TC is just straight up competent. The first time I drove one I wasn't surprised at how quick it was, but just surprised at how effortless everything is. I swear it's quieter than NA Cobalts at WOT, but speed obviously builds much quicker with little to no wheelspin. Tuned these cars must haul ass.
