First Wrecked T/C on .Net
Damn i dont care if i know the roads 100% i will never drive fast threw fog every you never know if someone will be broken down on your side of the road. But hope they all recover the one sound like he/she is in bad shape.
It's not the first wrecked, but the first totalled. There is a guy out here who got hit by a driver who ran a red light and totalled his 07 s2 SS/SC. The dealership just happen to have a brand new, fully loaded, SS/TC arriving in black. He bought it and told the dealership to not let anybody drive it until he could pick it up. Unfortunately, they didn't and some asshat hit a pothole and broke the intercooler (I believe they hang lower than the SS/SC). The intercooler is on backorder, so now he has nothing except a rental the dealership is paying for.
Regardless, this really sucks. I hope everybody comes out of this as well as possible. I always hate to hear about a good car becoming a casuality, but I hate hearing about people becoming injured like this too.

That's just a retarded statement, actually.
Sorry, but that's ****** stupid.
If you can please find out for me where he broke his back. June 14th of 2007 I was in a car accident, I was the passenger, and I broke my back in 3 places. I broke my T11, my T12 had a burst fracture and was in a million parts floating around in my body, and I broke my L1. I had 2 spinal fusions and died once on the operating table. After the first surgery, I awoke from the ICU paralyzed from the waist down. Same thing after the 2nd surgery. Stayed that way for 3 weeks and then a miracle happened and my foot twitched. As of today I walk with a slight limp and have pain throughout my body every day, but it is much better than being paralyzed. It really sucks when you are riding with a friend who does something that changes your life forever.
They will all be in my prayers and I hope they all make a full recovery.

2) hitting a pot hole is not a wreck
the doctor said that the seatbelt was what caused his back to break... and the airbags saved his life

Well in pennsylvania it was really foggy and he was on a back road.... and here we tend to know the backroads by heart so the fog wasnt too much of a factor for a regular driver BUT i guess my buddy thought ANOTHER hill was coming up and there wasnt and he went straight into a hillside
yea he a member on here he posted about getting a Black TC

qft. sums up the entire situation. i hope everyone recovers, and he learns his lesson, esp when he has other people in his hands.
If there was serious bodily injury, the car's been impounded for an investigation. Sit tight, folks...there's a LOT of things that have to happen in a case like this.
Was your friend ticketed? I hope he had decent insurance coverage for the injured ones. Unless he's living large, or under 18 with well-to-do parents, he's not got much to worry about in lawsuits...they only go for deep pockets. However, vindictive people can also go for wage garnishment to cover a settlement or court-extablished payout. It also depends on whose name the car was titled in, even if he's over 18 the parents can be held liable if they are on the title.
If intoxicating substances were involved on any level, the magnitude of severity for both civil AND criminal trouble ratchets WAY up. I'm sure they got blood from him if he was hospitalized. In Illinois, ANY trace of an illegal drug like pot is an instant DUI, there's zero tolerance. And prescription drugs that say 'do not drive or operate heavy machinery' on the bottle? Same deal...instant DUI.
But yes, his insurance rates (if he can get any) will be heinous for years, and depending on the state's graduated license laws, if he's under 21 he may lose his license too.

Police or insurance have to release vehicle to owner first then owner release vehicle to insurance since it was totaled out.

How can they prove that u just smoked pot 1 hour b4 drive or 20 hours b4 driving??? a blood sample doesn't do **** all in that case, just shows that u've smoked pot sometime in the last like month........what about ppl who smoke it for medical pain purpose reasons?? So because they are in pain and need to smoke it they can no longer drive??? That's a big load a bs right now...........prescription drugs.......again, how will u know if they took it 2 hours b4 or 10 hours b4??? There isn't enough medical technology to bring it down to the exact hour they took it or smoked it............f'd up rules imo......

suggestion........get HID low beams and foglights, cuts thru the fog like hot knife thru soft butter........and of course slow down when it's foggy out........i hope they all recover quickly and efficiently, being in an accident suck and it's something u NEVER forget, some professional race car drivers will lose their ability to race after 1 crash because of how it can impact u mentally.
