FOB or Keyless Entry

Hello all,

I purchased an 08 Cobalt SS a few weeks ago and the car came with 2 keys. Was there not an option for keyless entry on these models? I would think the top line model would have keyless entry.

Thanks

Someone is jewing you. There isn't a single SS model that didn't have the RKE remotes.

^^lol
but ya, all the SSs come with keyless entry, as do all the LTs and most of the LSs. Weird that yours didn't. Whoever the previous owner was probably lost them somehow, not sure how you lose those since they're attached to you keys.

Car repo'd or the dealer lost the keys and new keys cut. Happens all the time.

Yeah, I figured they were lost. So I can just buy 2 new remotes and have the dealer program them or is it possible to program them myself? I was able to do that for my Vette.

Get them to replace them for free. I think there is a RKE relearn procedure in the manual.

Try your glove box? That's where mine were in yhe dealer envelope.

Either way don't spend a cent on remotes or make any effort that's your dealers problem.
