forge bpv sound.

Ok so a while back k I took the plunge and bought the forge bpv. The old one. Not the new atmospheric one. Ok so I I have a true cold air intake that ends at the filter end with 3". It makes my turbo whistle loud as hell. And my stock bpv was loud as hell too. Sounded almost like a bov but not quite. So I put in this forge bpv and now you can barely even hear the thing when I shift. Has anyone else experienced this same phenomenon?

Mine was quiet for a long time. It eventually after a few months wore a bit and started to get noisier.

Very disappointing... so many people said they were way louder than the stock bpv even seen comparison vids where they seemed louder. But then again as I stated above my stock rubber diaphragm bpv was as loud as a bov almost. I used to catch people off guard walking and scare them. You think the stiffer spring would be louder maybe? I hope it gets louder then. I only had it in a short while before parking it to fix rear brakes and been parked ever since. Stupid defective rear brakes!!!

All the forge BPV is designed to do is replace the stock BPV which is cheaply made. thinking the sound would be any louder was something it was never designed to do. you want a BOV sound, by the Forge VTA BPV or a real BOV

No, it wouldn't be louder, it would just make your car run shitty.

It wasn't intended to be louder, so it's not. It was intended to be more durable than the rubber diaphragm stock BPV, which it probably is, if you service it from time to time.

Lol well my stock one was way louder. I didn't just buy it to be louder, however most people reported they were so I figured that would be an extra perk. And I have already ran a bov on it. Honestly I loved the sound even if most people call it rice, but it was a pita due to it ******* with my a/f ratios and putting the car in limp mode all the time. I've wanted to get a tune for a while but everything else has gotten in the way and definitely not going to get a tune just for a bov lol that would be dumb.

Pretty easy fix to run a BOV. Lower charge pipe with MAF relocate. block off stock BPV and get tuned. done. a bunch of people I know have done this and had no problems. the key thing is you need a tune. some people run fine without a tune and then it screws up.

Lol people on here talk about tunes like its $1 a run. I live in oklahoma and cant seem to find crap for dyno tuners andthe places I have been able to find onine its like $300 an hour and I don't have that kind of dough lying around all the time. One place I called that was cheaper only does imports and when I told them what it was they were like nope and hung up.

Right, I never said it was cheap lol. I had the same problem so i bought HP Tuners Pro off here for 250 bucks and when it was all said and done the total was around 700ish for my tune lol. Im just saying to make it run right you need a tune.

id love to be able to afford one. probably could tax time, but im a working joe without mommy and daddy to back me up so that will probably pay bills.... that is if i get anything back since im in a higher tax bracket and the present administration either wants you rich or dirt poor. I should be ashamed of myself for working so hard and putting in all the extra hours to provide for myself instead of letting uncle sam pay my way through life lol.

Personal experience, Forge BPV won't add any additional sound. Though, with K&N short ram you can definitely hear the difference between stock and Forge. Forge one prolongs the sound but other than that it's not any different and isn't made for sound but more for a good quality aluminum replacement item for stock plastic one.
