front o2 sensor removal

Anyone have any tips on how to remove the front o2 sensor? I can barely get a wrench on it from the top but can't seem to loosen it up. It doesn't look like i can get to it from underneath either. Any help?

I did mine on the LNF from the top with an 02 sensor socket. I had to widen & deepen the cutout for the wiring in the socket though.

The easiest way that I've found personally is to cut off the pigtail as close to the sensor as possible and then slide a 1/2" drive deep socket on (I forget the size off the top of my head) with a swivel joint attatched and go to town... from the top side of the engine of course. The reason I use a 1/2" drive ratchet is purely for more leverage and the longer handle makes it easier to reach with everything else in the way in that area. It's definitely a little tight in there, but once you get it down it's pretty easy. I can do the job in like 15 minutes now..
