Front Rotor
Front Rotor
im trying to get my new rotors and pads on my car is a 2009 cobalt ss and i cant seem to get the front rotor off anyone know what size socket i need to get the front rotors off????? i need to know ASAP
You don't need a socket to get the rotors off. You need to take the caliper off. Then make sure you take the rotor retainer washers off the wheel studs. Then the rotor should come right off. If it doesn't then beat the **** out of it with a hammer.
That big nut holds the axle on the hub !!!!! Dont touch that. Take the caliper off and ifs its the first time you had to remove the rotors there might be a couple sheet metal washers on the studs. Just break them with a screw driver or side cutters and the rotor should come right off.If not tap it with a brass hammer as it might be tight on the hub.
