GMS1 and CrateEngineDepot.com

I ordered the GMS1 for my LNF on 5/05/11 at about 11 AM. Its already shipped and will be at my house by the end of the day on 5/06/11! Thats some awesome shipping! I highly recommend ordering from there only. Just want to give props to a good website/company. Also I'll update this thread on my opinions of the GMS1 when I get it installed either friday or Sat if everything goes right.

2nd gear is fun! But the downside to it is that you will eventually get numb to it and want more power.

I figured thats what would happen... BUT until that fateful day I'll enjoy it while I have it. It was an impulse buy anyway.

I bought my GMS1 kit from them at the end of March when it was still on sale. They had the lowest price I ever saw for the kit. It was crazy fast shipping too. Ha ha, I still don't have it on my car though. Hopefully at the end of this month, or the beginning of June I will be stage 1. Woot woot!

The people over at CED are amazing!! When I ordered my stage 1 kit it was at my door the next day!! Wasn't expecting it so soon. Then a few months later I got a Trifecta Tune! Told myself that the stage 1 was going to be the only mod I was going to have..... That didn't last!!!

I enjoy GMS1, it still scares the ever living **** out of my gf.

I can't imagine what an E47-E85 tune is like. I'd need a clutch.

you really dont need a clutch, ive had my e85 tune since day one and haven't have clutch slippage issues. only issue was the low fuel pressure rail above 120 mph, i rarely hit 120 on my spirited "Cat and Mouse Game" on the expressway

So I had it installed today... very disappointed. Still only boosting 10 - 15 PSI. The dealership says they installed it. I'm gonna take it to another and have them verify. Kinda upset but I'm willing to forgive GM if they fix it.

LOVE tom. My roommates got a chevy cruze eco and his pricing on parts is cheap for that too. I try to buy all my stuff from him. See if you can come to the CED mega meet!!

As for gm stage 1. LOVE IT. wish it came stock. After 1.3 summers I do want more, but it still hauls with bolt ons and spins tires all the time.

It's been noticed that a fair number of dealerships don't know wtf they're doing with regards to GMS1 installs.

If it's only boosting up to 15psi, that sounds like they didn't even flash the tune onto the ECU. Maybe they just put in the 3bar map sensors, and figured that was it (again, because they don't know wtf they're doing).

Quite possible. Car will run funky and eventually throw a CEL if there's no tune on it as well. May take a day or two.

The guy I talked to said that they did that first thinking it would take the longest. Ill see what another dealership can tell me. If they say its fine what's my next option? :-/

That's what they told me they did. Would it make a difference?

Well, now after thinking about this, I'm not 100% sure..but the procedure calls for flashing AFTER the components are installed. Maybe someone else here can verify this for sure.

I think I fixed it. Its not as huge of a difference as I was expecting. BUT I disconnected the positive bat term for a minute and now it boosts 20PSI as opposed to 11.

No crazy tire squealing or anything, but the boost is higher now.

It's true ....you get used to the power and want more ..... I ran a superchips tune for around 6 months and then went with a 24 psi tune from trifecta ...... now I'm looking at going to a layered tune with HPtuners or straight HPtuners after about a year.

Scan for codes. This sounds like they wired the TMAP incorrectly or there is a loose joint in it if disconnecting the battery resolved the issue. Doing the flash first then the sensors would be fine as long as they don't start the car until the sensors are in, but it should take immediately not just boost here and there and you should notice a substantial difference in TQ output.
