gms1 dumb question
You need a dealer or someone with printers to account for the 3 bar sensors. It's not a plug and play for the 3bar sensors, I'd recommend getting CEDs pigtails/plug adaptors so you don't have to sodder
the guy has the sensors and paperwork on how to install and i was gonna order the pigtails and new o rings but i was wondering if the sensors would work...bc thatll save about 300 bucks on ordering the whole kit
pretty sure you have to buy the kit if you want the gms1 program. If you just want it tuned by someone then the 3 bars will help. The kit has the code the dealership needs to verify you purchased the gms1 tune. It has to be flashed at the dealership.
Sounds like all your buying is a set of 3 bar map sensors and at 100 that's not a great deal
When you buy gms1 you receive a number you take this number to a dealership and after having the map sensors installed they flash the gms1 tune on the car and tie it to the vin so you can't transfer the tune or use it multiple times

Yes the sensors are only $ 17.48 each,
3 Bar MAP Sensor 55206797
O-RING 3 Bar Map Sensor 12626998
Cobalt, Solstice, HHR Stage Kit Harness Adapter 19212670H
I added links to the components above, with this set up you will need an aftermarket tune.
or you can go with the
19212670 kit: Cobalt, Solstice, HHR Stage Kit 19212670HK

I'm not really talking from a car guy perspective but just my opinion. I wouldn't go used on the kit because what could that possibly do to your engine? Who knows... And then GM probably won't warranty a used kit which takes out both reasons to get it. I have the stage one, paid way more than I should for it with no aftermarket mods and I'm happy but if I was in your situation I would just go aftermarket, save overall with the cost of the install and get more power to boot.
If you're worried about keeping your warranty then GMS1 is probably for you
If GMS1 is for you then the only place to go is CED for a cheaper price than anyone else sells the kits they provide plug-n-play harnesses that makes installation almost idiot proof.
There's no way around it is pricey you will end up paying around $600 by the time you buy the kit and pay the GM dealership of your choice to install the tune but in the end it's the only real fool proof way to keep your warranty
You could always buy an extra PCM have a tuner put a basic tune similar to GMs1 on it and still pay less than half then what you would for gms1 not foolproof so you'd have to weigh your own personal risk their
