from having both tunes on my car, the trifecta tune has a much different feel than the GMS1. The GMS1 is much more tame too.

driveabilty is outstanding, 2-4 hits late like a ton a bricks but the power delivery is not sluggish to get there, very smooth. my ESC light always flashes, LOL. Tires are a must. I have the CIA downpipe , K&N and am going to do the stock box mod, and I will be going to the dyno on the 7th. back with numbers.
I love this , thanks GMPP.

Very interesting... looks very driveable too...
Say, how much did they charge in MTL for the install ? Here in Quebec city, the dealers have their heads up their asses... they either say it doesn't exist or they give very $$$ quotes.
A guy on the local forum was quoted 1550$... which definitely makes me give it second thoughts.

1) Buy it from crate engine depot.. 500$ us = about the same thing canadian + customs.

2) Make the garage search the info before installing it .. say it's the same thing as the HHR SS.

3) Tell them that you will pay for 2 hours and not more ... you don't have to pay because they are not used to installing it. I finally payed 2 and a half hours ... not bad considering it was the 1st time they did it ..

Just out of curiousity, what prevents you guys from coming across the border buying and installing the upgrade and then going home? It's not like you have a box in the trunk. How would they ever know you are bringing something of value into the country unless you TELL them? With the prices and hassles you talk about it would make sense to do it. But like I said. Just curious.

picked my car up yesterday with the kit installed. I'm very happy with it! 2nd gear throws you back and GOES. I was surprised how much oomph I had in 4th on the freeway as well. It really makes the car a whole new animal at WOT. It drives like it's angry and I love every second of it

It's definitely worth the price, and lives up to the hype. Fantastic job to Bill and the guys at HPVO, they hit a homerun with this. I love it!

so this kit opens the learn mode so that any extra mods on the cobalt will actually add power.. and not just waste our money?

Yes, unless you're a automotive operating system computer whiz, and Yes. Does "Holly ****" tell you something?

Do what I did. MOVE TO FLORIDA. Vote against NY's second highest taxes in the US with your FEET. No state income taxes, no down filled parkas and your kids/grandkids, if you have them, will gain a winter vacation destination. It's a beautiful thing. The natives down here tell me SUMMER is the nicest day of the year up there!

We're WAAAAY off topic here but, just like the Marines, RiteAid's looking for a few good men. In pure numbers there are more banks down here than any other business followed closely by lawyers then pharmacies.

Because your dealer is a knuckle head. That part number fits your Turbocharged Cobalt SS.
