good couplers for IC pipes??

so I was cruisin along today on my way home from checkin out some apartments, an this 07-09 Mustang GT pulls up next to me.. meh..

we end up together at a light, an he ends up takin off an flyin to the next light an my gurl's lookin at me an says, "babe wat you doin?? He jus smoked you!" wtf?? ok

we end up nex to each other at the next light, it turns green an I take off, after I'm done spinnin thru 1st an 2nd, my car jus bucks an feels like its inner child died or somethin

what ended up happenin, was the coupler on my lower Charge pipe came disconnected from my intercooler.. This has happened before(at the other location, where the pipes meet) a few times before, mostly at random times when I hit 24psi.. its happened maybe 6 times total in a year, but it's enough to bug me now.. I've replaced the clamps on em (not t-Bolt clamps, could never find any at a good price )but I'm thinkin better couplers might help? I dunno...

I got Injen pipes btw..

Just get some t bolt clamps man. You can get them at extreme psi for like $6. Or check summit racing. Pretty cheap there. Also try putting some hair spray on the end of the pipe. I had all my intercooler piping beaded at the ends with hair some spray and t bolt clamps. Never had one pop off.

Ima try that tomorrow when I put it back on.. its always funny when people see my car **** tho

"aye bra, why do you have a blowdryer an hairspray with your screwdrivers an ****??"

Back when I was lookin, none of the local "speed shops" would give me a good price for 6 tbolt clamps "$30-$45" a piece from every place in Central texas an in PA they would look at me funny if I asked about em Ima look online again an see if I can find some good ones.. thanks man!

The stock IC clamps are T-bolt clamps, though.

Never had a pop. I usually either use hairspray or I lightly sand with 1500 grit on the last inch of the pipes to get some grip from the powercoat.
