Got Mine!

Well I traded in my silver stage 2 cobalt ss/sc...and all I have to say is I love this car...feels so much reassuring compared to the stage 2 balt. Different power of course though I havn't really gotten on it much other than just a tad up to 4k rpms. Car only has 50 miles on it haha. Though really this car I love it haha. Got my payments the same also as my other cobalt due to a 2,000 rebate they mailed to me plus a 1500 rebate that I got at the dealership..loving it. Options included low pro spoiler, LSD, Sunroof.

Frame the picture of that wheel - it'll never be that clean again.

I use to not like Sport Tint Coat red but once you see it in person your mind completely changes...its just simply amazing..going to be harder to take care of than silver but thats not biggy since I love detailing cars haha.

Yep I know sadly haha...it was a showroom car the dealership had it for 2 days before I picked it up haha. People from over 100 miles away was calling about it and I grabbed it fast. I plan on powdercoating them black eventually anyways.

I did the exact same as you - traded in my silver stage 2 for this, even with the same options! But mine is still silver.

I love that tintcoat, but at the time this the only one around, and the deal was right.

Oh i understand that man...silver looks bad ass on them...though my past two cars had been silver so I was burnt out on it. How are you enjoying yours? I will probably wait aw hile before I try the no lift shift until the engine gets broken in good.

First mod is to make a payment haha..I am going to save up and double up on payments for a bit and then probably intake and exhaust first. Well first real mod I should say would be to get the windows tinted...hate clear glass.

What did you mean by "feels so much reassuring"...?

Handling?

I believe that the SC Cobalt was/is considered to be somewhat of a good handling car by some ...and as far as I remember the only changes to the TC version of the suspension were slightly bigger bars, different bushing materials and slightly wider wheels/tires...which bany 'balt owners have done on their own...

I've test driven a TC and believe the only way to tell any differences would be by timed measuring, etc. No difference in the "pants" dept.

The car just feels like its built better...also the thought that this car will have much better aftermarket is also much more reassuring. Yeah build quality may be the same, but I believe with the softer engine mounts and everything the interior will hold up a bit better instead of ratteling..also its nice to know that the axels are bigger than the ss/sc and the clutch feels much better IMO.
