I'm really surprized by the general handling. The new revised suspension is so much more better than th SC (No war here, my thought).
The brake... Brembo, what else!
The seat! So much more confortable!
Than the power.. More power but nothing really major, 60 more hp, felt easily but still room for more!
Generally, this is a beast!
And the spare is a 16 incher!!!!!

it only fit's on the rear
so a front flat means
jack rear, change rear with spare
jack front, change front, replace with rear
done! a little logic goes a long way on that one - it's in the manual, I think :-)

JK
20hp to somewhere about even - over a stage 2. Over a stock one (no stage) no one has done a dyno comparison, but its going to be more than 20-25 hp. Engine rated HP the Turbo does have 55hp over the stock (no stage) Supercharged.
the ss/sc was underrated though. most made a little better than 205 at the wheels, so at the crank they weren't -that- much less powerful than the new TCs.
but again, the torque is an entirely different story.

Here is why everyone with SS/TC will end up having to get 18inch winter tires/rims.........Having a smaller sized tire or rim on the car is BADDDD for the LSD(if u=smart and get/got one) So....ATTENTION ALL SS/TC LSD OWNERS......when your thinking about getting winter tires/rims, talk to your dealerships service department before trying to squeeze 17's on there.........i was thinking about it too but after having a talk with someone i used to work with at GM i've since changed my mind.

As someone else already stated the 205hp rating on the SS/SC is underated . I stand behind my earlier statement 20-25 hp gain over a stock lsj.

Don't take this the wrong way , i'm not a SS/TC hater , or jealous of the car . It's just that the stock HP rating on the SS/SC was very underated so i like to let people know that. The Turbo car is a step forward no doubt about it , it's just that people really like to throw this 60 extra HP claim around ... even the magazines.
Overlay of my Stage 2 SC (no other mods) vs. Stock SS/T (only 75 miles on the odo)
**Stage 2 SC: 227whp/203ft lbs**
**SS/T: 237whp/258 ft lbs**
(Dotted Line = Stage 2 SC, Solid Line = SS/T)

**Stage 2 SC: 227whp/203ft lbs**
**SS/T: 237whp/258 ft lbs**
(Dotted Line = Stage 2 SC, Solid Line = SS/T)

The above data was taken from another thread in the LNG sub-forum.
So, you mean to tell me, the stage 2 kit only adds 17 whp?
Really?

Again, it doesnt matter - its been agreed that a race between a stage 2 and a turbo balt would be a drivers race (in a straight line) - I think we can all agree on that. GM has, over the last couple of years, finally gotten their act together. I cant wait to see what they come up with next.
well...i havent looked at any tc dynos lately but...assuming they are underated like the tc, that allows anywhere from 40-50hp over a stock underated sc....lets face it lsj's....your just not the king pin anymore

haha...anyone knows the tc isnt going to make 50hp over a stg 2 ss/sc...i forget the exact mark...but 240ish sounds right...hhmm not a 50 lb difference
SC stage 2 = 203 wheel toruqe
TC stock = 258 wheel torque
Hence, 55 lb ft of tq more than the SC Stage 2.

yea prety much.. the most i heard from just a stage 2 is about 20-25 whp.... stock is underrated and stage 2 gains are overrated. I gaurantte a stock ss/.sc on that same dyno would put down over 205whp
