Yes got my k and n and forge bpv installed today. Only took me about two hours and im not a very good machanic. But wow wat a difference. The car sounds great now. Time to save some money and get a tune or gm turbo upgrade....

It is the typhoon k and n. And gm sells some kind of kit called a gms1 turbo kit that dosent void your warenty and gives you like 30 hp. Thats what ive been told anyway.

gm stage one, they are a few sensors and they up your boost a little. you cant tune for any of your bolt ons but you will keep your warranty, "if you dont have any bolt ons" haha.

 

So please corect me im stupid about this stuff just tring to learn. And should i get a tune instead.

 

if your not worried about warranty. and you can always get flashed back to stock tune if you have to goto the dealer for warranty work of some sort.

 

I got my Stage 1 a couple months ago, and I think it was worth the money. The car's got a lot more moxy. Not as much as many of the aftermarket ones, but I'll keep this until I'm off my warranty, then step the tune up further.

The issue you may have is if your dealership objects to your K&N - I did my Typhoon after they installed the kit, just in case. Most are cool about basic stuff like that, while others can be real a-holes.

I found that the stage 1 actually improved the just-on-boost shifting personality of the car - for some reason its a lot less obnoxious, but when you're on - damn that extra power is sweet.
