Hello from a Cousin!

Hi guys,
I have an HHR SS with the 2.0L Direct Injected Turbo. Thought I'd come in and say "hi!" to you folks since we are essentially cousins (same platform, same powertrain)!

I've had an SRT-4 Neon in the past, moved up to the Mustang GT in my sig, and then bought an HHR SS during the 0% sale GM had a few weeks ago so that I could have a daily driver that gets 30mpg on the highway (as opposed to 20 the way I drive the Mustang after the Supercharger!). The HHR is a different car from either of those (mostly because I can haul a bunch of stuff in it, lol). It handles insanely well. In fact, given how well my HHR SS handles, I can only imagine how well the Cobalt SS/TC handles the twisty stuff.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi, here's a pic of my new toy:

And since all of you know what a Convertible Mustang looks like, I'll just show you my engine bay for that car:

I love how much cheaper performance mods for 4 banger turbos are! Can't wait for the tuners to come down in price though. $1k for a tuner is a LOT of $$$ given how cheap they are in the Mustang world.

Actually, HHR would technically be a sibling I think.

Red headed step children FTL!

$hit, wait, I'm both.

Damn! And I purposefully avoided getting red too!
My HHR will kick your Balt's rear end -- on a Home Depot run!

It has the 6psi pulley on it (dynoed at 403rwhp). Saleen warranties your powertrain for 3/36,000 if you keep the stock pulley on it.

Now that I have the HHR, warranty is less meaningful because if it breaks I have a car to drive around with! I just have to resist the itch to mod the HHR!

I've carried a Keg in my Cobalt before.

i really don't like driving the HHR seemed like it had terrible blind spots compared to our trailblazer

I don't think they have had any problems shipping the HHR SS. But, we didn't get any Brembo brake packages this year

Also, 5 spd production seems awful low. I only could find 3 within a 120 mile radius with the 5 spd!
