Help with Intercooler problem / decision

Yeah its not your MAF, its probably a crack in the endtank of your intercooler - this was mine.
I have 2 stock intercoolers now, since this happened to me before any of the aftermarket ones were out. I now have a hahn.

Jamecobalt i know dude im still waiting for charge pipes to come in from CIA i got my intercooler in the mail from synapse and it looks really nice installed nice and easy also. however i dont know if this is a rumor or not but people told me not to drive around with a cracked intercooler keep it parked. They said your turbo will overspool and try to compensate for the boost its not picking up... that sounds like the most retarded thing ive heard tho i really dont think its true but i had a few people tell me that.
and is it fast that is exactly how mine was also, i took it off and the cheap ******* plastic end plate cracked.. its stupid

I feel ur pain my car is slow as **** went from beating c5 vettes to cant even beat a prius. I have 2 holes in my intercooler on both sides hot and cold. I was a ******* though ran from the cops while racing hit a guard rail at 45 went to jail and car got towed. would of gotten away but was racing in new area and street turned into dead end. i knw why didnt i just stop well i was going 110 and had 3 cops behind me. Lucky just messed up bumber and intercooler and charges were dropped just had to pay warrants. Think im gonna try that crazy steves intercooler freakin hahn is expensive but probly worth it. just thought i would chime in feel ur pain!! hit me up about some houston meets i go there once a month.

lol, heh, even though I agree slowbalt lets keep those comments to ourselves. And stories like that... very unnecessary as well.
I wouldn't recommend driving the car with the cracks in the intercooler. God knows what the computer is doing with all the air blowing out, causing you to run rich as ****? It will also overwork the turbo. Theres a reason why cars don't run when a pipe falls off. Its not stupid, its true.
On a good note the new intercooler will flow better, with less pressure drop, just because its not a tube and fin like the garbage stock one.
On a side note does anyone know if he could unplug the maf and drive it? lol, Don't boost it though!

meh agreed I guess. Stuff like that is what makes a forum look stupid.
One time i raced over 300mph, killed two people, chased by the cops, but only cracked an intercooler pipe.. luckily charges were dropped..

We have a bunch of comedians yeah i know it was stupid i wasnt racing just watching. I was just at the wrong place wrong time usually I get away from the cops no probs but was at a new place that id never been to. As for driving my car have no choice gotta work. pulled the mass air flow sensor just so my car would run and yes your right it was running rich as long as i dont floor it should be ok till my new intercooler comes in which i ordered.
