How do you turn off the TPMS sensor warning in gauge display

Recently put on winter tires and rims, and am foregoing the TPMSs. How do I remove the warning/alert from the gauge? Anyone know?

Once it comes on, you can just clear it with the bottom left button on the steering wheel.

I've found a screw driver and a tiger torch work well.
Step 1 Heat up the screwDriver till it's red hot.
Step 2 insert through plastic and wiggle.

As much as *I* hate TPMS systems, ... really glad my wifes car has it. Shes so oblivious to the world. I'm starting to think I need to get into 60's muscle cars or something. All of the electronic nanny systems annoy me.

Yeah, but she still has to pay attention to them. I really believe that vehicle speed should be limited when the warning is on.

My wife will tell me **** like "the tire light has been on for a week........"

Off topic... How do you reset your sensors when you rotate your tires?

What does the TPMS sensors look like? The ones I think I've seen are kind of band on the inside of the wheel?

I'm just wondering because I have one that reads from full pressure to 0psi off and on about once a minute. It's beyond annoying at this point. I could get past the light but having it go on and off all the time with the message is just insane.

Can a DIY'er replace them?

It's about as simple as replacing the valve stem. I broke one changing a tire on a rim with TPMS a last year at my old job. They're $50 each to repair and very easy to break off the valve stem when you're changing tires.

I just got used to having it on all the time. The only annoying part is having to clear the SVC TIRE MONITOR message every time I fire the car up. The light doesn't bother me since I kill the TCS every time I drive the car anyway, so it's just an extra one.

You can reset it by doing this:

1. Turn ignition to on position, but do not start the car
2. Hold the lock and unlock button on your key fob for a few seconds and the horn will sound twice and the DIC will say Tire Sensor Relearn.
3. Start at the left front tire and either remove or add air until the horn sounds.
4. From the left front move to the right front, then right rear, then left rear, doing the same to each until the horn sounds.
5. When you are finished with the left rear the horn will sound twice letting you know the relearn is complete
