Ignition problem
Ignition problem
Whenever I fill my car up past half a tank, it refuses to start. It will eventually, but you have to feather the gas pedal. And it takes a good while for it to start. After it finally starts, it sounds like it's camming and idols hella akward till I start driving, then it's fine. Like I said, it only happens when I fill it up to more than half a tank. A friend of mine with the same car has the same issue and Berglund can't figure it out. Anyone else know about this or what could fix it? Thanks!

it's a problem with the evaporative emissions system. evap purge solenoid is stuck open so when you fill up. all those vapors from the fuel are going direct into the engine and it is so rich that it cannot start until those vapors leave the cylinder, hence why when you crank it over for awhile it starts
the evap purge solenoid needs to be replaced. it only cost me $25.00 for my lsj. don't know if the lnf one is any different. it won't cause any problems besides hard starting after fill up
