Intake and Charge Pipe
Intake and Charge Pipe
Ok so if you've seen my other posts I am getting the Trifecta dual tune but I am also looking around at intakes and charge pipes and was looking for peoples personal experiences and what you may of heard.
I know Hahn and Injen is good but any other recommendations and is there anyone in Western Canada or even Washington State who has good deals other than the ones I see on Fleabay?

People seem most satisfied with the Hahn intake. Charge piping from ZZP requires you to use part of the OEM charge pipe. Injen's pipe-couplers are too short and it comes with crappy clamps. Dejon charge pipes don't have a mount that mounts them to the engine, so it it blows off your turbo outlet, you get a dent in your hood. Hahn charge pipes are expensive. Just pick the pipes you can get the best deal on. It's just pipe, not science.
x2. that was a pretty shitty explination of charge pipes lmao. Dejon, Hahn, CIA, and Synapse are all pretty much exactly the same. I dont believe any mount in a special way. Injens have fine couplers but id recommend grabbing some T-bolt clamps and calling it a day. There the least expensive and still a solid unit. ZZP's also looks solid but uses parts of the stock piping.

With all the rain around here get an sri intake. I've got the clear image sri, and as you likely know K&N just released one also. The filter on a cai, because of its location, can get soaked with water. Have the intake installed prior to getting tuned so the fuel trims get adjusted for it!
almost all of the charge piping out has no mount. i believe the only one that does is injens. charge piping blowing off is from crap installation. personally i like the injen or clear image piping.
I believe just better air flow so the turbo can breath better
It's not that cut and dry as people make it seem. My SS put down 250 whp on a dynojet with a KN and airbox mod. Most people see low 240s. Oh yeah that SAE smoothing 5, in STD it made 255-257 whp.
I just want to optimize the car in stock tune before jumping into trifecta or hp.
