For those that don't know, SAE (SAE International) tests all engines before they go into production to make sure the specs they are calming on the engine meet the international standard. (I learned this on the History Channel )

According to a plant manager at Lordstown, the new SS's will have similar seats that you see in the Turbo HHR.

That was my guess when i first saw the LNF information in the GM parts screens for the '08 Cobalt when i was working at the Car plant.

 

ehh im in it for the seats lol im keeping the cobalt because i rather an aftermarket turbo but by them who knows lol maybe ill buy an LNF from a wreck.

Does anyone know if the Transmission is changing... i;m not sure if this has been answered in another post... but a change in 1st gear would be nice given the expected new hp!

 

wow this is going to be crazy I can not wait till this happens I am def trading the sedan in for it. do yu guys think it will be availble on a sedan? and do you think they will offer it both in automatic and manual transmission or just manual like the supercharger to make it feel more sporty. But hey I think that they should just come out with a 2.2 supercharger or turbo kit for us GM guys scion TC's have the TRD department why cant we do something like that idk beats me. ok guys ill be back on the boards tommrow im sure this will have plenty of views and replies by tommorow goodnight all.

I LOVE my supercharger and the sound that comes with it......but it would be nice to have a base car turbo'd @ roughly 260HP vs a base supercharged 205HP car. I've upgraded to my mods now and I'm between 250 and 260HP I'm guessing. I like the idea that they did not seem to change the look of the car that much. I love the styling of our cars. Maybe this is all BS but the thought is very tempting. yummy

 

X2 i am just curious if the turbos have just as much problems as the supercharged cars

 

if this does come out...get ready to spend at least 30,000. i mite just have to wait or wait a lil longer for the camaro ss. then put a turbo on that bitch..hahah totally different story then a turbo cobalt..well see guys

nah wudnt be that low..i think at least arond 25k or higher..look at the sky,solstice and hhr are all priced around 30,000. gm is smart..cobalt if comes out will be 25k or higher..well see if it comes out. if its 25k or close maybe ill think bout tradin my cobalt in for it..that camaro does look nice too. damn GM..makin choices harder if this turbo balt comes out
