J1349 Certified Power Engine Data for GM LNF L850 2008.5 Chevrolet Cobalt
yeah but u'd think after all this time they'd have more after market. seems like they have 2 exhaust systems, fujita cai, front mount intercooler upgrade, and a tuning programmer.
First of all the ss/sc's dont have a Getrag they have a saab transmission, and the tc's will have the same one as the GTO's from what I have read.
The 2.2L/2.4L balts do use a Getrag tranny the SS and Redline have a german made tranny.
The F40 is made by the same German company that made the F35.

Lets just say that I considered modifying the Cavilier SC for the 2.2L and running a piggyback at one time, but instantly decided that I would never in a million years even attempt to swap the LNF in place of my L61. Too much $$.
I kinda want an orange again, but would definately consider a black or a white one. White balt with black interior and white seat inserts FTMFW!!

i can't fckn believe i bought a 07 ss/sc........ i swear to god if gm doesn't make sum sorta freaken pipeing for the ss/sc guys to go to the turbo im gonna b pretty saddened...and im guessing that aftermarket turbo's for us ss/sc guys is at what 260-270 hp? (only problem i see with going after market turbo and being at that 260-270 hp range..WTF! do u do to get more horse power after..cause other wise if 260-270 is maxed out wouldn't it be better to get the 08 turbo balt at stock 260-270 and then get stage kits from gm?)
when you first log on to cobaltss.net at the bottom there is a place to read about the end of the supercharged ss. new emissions regulations being the key factor for scrapping the car. this release of info is a few months after the sae approved test. so what if you found the test results. is the ss car even listed on chevys site for 08? no! i see the HHR SS but no Cobalt SS. i,d love to be proved wrong, because i want to see a LNF car as well.
i looked at emissions information for all upcoming gm 08 models that was provided and the date is august 1. maybe the LNF Cobalt just wasn't removed from the info????????

I'm going to say this new Cobalt SS/TC will have Shift paddles on the steering wheel option to compete with Evo X. If u look at the new malibu its got that option and its look just like the new models of cobalt steering wheel. I'm going to hold off trading in my 2.2l for this **** I'm pumped for this to come out.
