Jerky throttle
Jerky throttle
Hey all!
I'm having issues while normal driving .. the car is very jerky .. I tried to clean my MAF with the special cleaner.. just wondering what else could be the problem.. no CEL
I have GM tune and KN filter..
Thanks in advance!

Plugs are old, worn, and/or fouled or all of the above lol. I change mine every year. Could be other factors, but I had a kind of hiccup jerkiness lately and even though my plugs looked good.. i swapped them out for new ngk's and she's smooth as butter again. Being tuned = more maintenance more often, just from my xp. Could be bad gas or something too, but at least pull one and have a look. If they're at all fouled, change them rfn and I'd bet your issues will disappear. Could also be a bad Map sensor too. Good luck anyways

any way you could elaborate on 'jerky throttle'? do you mean how it'll buck back and forth in 1st and second gear? if thats what you mean, its all about throttle control. mine used to do that until i got used to driving it, now it never happens.
Same thing happens with me. I have new plugs, new map and new maf sensors. I do have a used TB, Im starting to wonder if thats the issue. Although ocassionally i throw a P2135 code.
lets hope it stays that way
Read the codes the next time it's doing this. Possible that you are setting MAP codes. The lower one especially will cause some odd issues. Does your BPV flutter at all?
There are no codes.. I used to have the dejon spring but changed it back to the stocker lately.. i'll check it out..
Could the spark plugs be worn and the car doesn't throw a code?

It's not the plugs. They're good for quite a long time on GMS1 or stock tune. Pull and inspect the lower MAP on the cold side charge pipe. It should have a blue (I think!) o-ring. Also, clean off all the oil on it with some MAF cleaner.

I double checked. The correct o-ring from GM should be blue. If it's green, someone screwed up. Might as well check and clean the MAP on top of the intake manifold while you're at it. That one's the easy one anyways. Make sure it's MAF cleaner, not brake cleaner!
I'm assuming you don't have the plug n play pigtails and that your MAP wiring is spliced in. Try tying the lower harness back away from the a/c lines and/or "wiggling" the wiring in that area-then take a test drive. Worked for me(temporarily) but at least I know where the problem lies.
i had the same problem, the problem for me was a small boost leak, I also later found out that I had an exhaust leak right next to the O2 bung and it was causing it to read lean because it was sucking in air.
