K&N = MAF gumming up?

Why I do not run K&N Filters. I read that and pulled them out of my car (long time ago) and have refused to go back to K&N. I was having MAF issues w/ dirt collecting on the sensor, not oil. The amount of "flow"....I'll take my loss of 2-3whp and have a much cleaner engine

Just wait until a few thousand miles when those that have been running k&n in the dusty climates....I see alot of cars needing seafoamed early in life to clean dirty intake valves. Unlike regular fuel injection, DI doesnt have the added cleaning to the upper intake by gasoline, or fuel additives. So using filters known to be extremely poor in filtration, on DI setup just doesnt make sense to me. I guess if you do not mind getting your intake valves cleaned its not so much an issue.
