LIED too, feel cheated..

OMG everyone just installed a stock clutch becuz mines was slipping and needed to drive home before i deploy. so i dropped my trans and what do i find to my surprise..............thats right you guessed there is no stage 4 clutchmasters in my car. now i was told when i brought the car one was in there w/ flywheel. The flywheel is a clutchmasters(which im selling very good condition) but the pressure plate says Sachs and has the same model number as the stock clutch i just installed. the clutch disc is a six puck and i have no clue to who makes it, ON TOP OF THAT a spring off the clutch fell out and was just rolling around in there chipping **** up. I did notice that the ARP bolts which i thought was a problem had no wear or damage to them so they are in fairly gud shape. but im kind of pissed can't believe what i found out. pix will be posted soon as i get a moment to upload them, went against one of my rules with cars about not buying a car someone else has modded and it keeps biting me in the ass, so I have new clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, throwout bearing, GM fluids and flywheel bolts and car is running and shifting smooth....

I don't think the stock clutch is a six puck. This is what a stock clutch looks like:

The Stage 4 can either be a 4 puck or a 6 puck according to the manufacturer, pic borrowed from cmiller's sale thread

Note the pressure plate is white instead of nuetral as well

Theres only a few companies who make pressure plates, and Sachs is one of the biggest and most popular ones

Exactly, MOST stamped pressure plates come from the OEM manufactures. Sachs, Daikin (exedy), etc. Companies take them, stiffen the springs or leave them, put a coat of paint on them, add a more aggressive disc and call it a clutch kit. The serious aftermarket ones that include a billet pressure plate do so for that reason.

Yeah, clutchmasters uses a modified stock pressure plate just like zzp does on their clutches.

I'll look at mine when ZZP pulls it and get you a part number. It doesn't have a clutchmasters logo on their disc if I remember right. Post a pic of the disc and pressure plate.
