--- but did you leave the turn in the right place to set up for the next one? Too much speed into a turn = slow times on a road course. With few exceptions, that guy was braking at the right time and hit the right line on just about every turn. You don't drive the Nurb-ring in 9 mins (in a Cobalt nonetheless) without knowing what you're doing. Dryer conditions and that run would have been well into the 8's -- impressive.

BTW -- If you're truly pushing a car on the track, the tires will squeal no matter what kind of tire it is. That was perfectly normal for a high performance tire with someone who knows how to drive.

Approaching the straight he says you can hit 142 here. At 8:46 into it he says, "That's a hunred and forty miles an hour." Care to retract?

The guys in the Lancers have recirculating BOV's like the new Tc apparently will because of MAF issues. A guy I was talking to said the car would literally shut off with a atmosphere ventilated BOV.

Wow. Some people amaze me.

1.) Those are great tires. If you're pushing your car the tires should be making noise.

2.) I really don't think we need to critique Johnny Heinricy driving. It's safe to say he knows what he is doing.

http://theracesite.com/index.cfm?tem...e&mag_id=10893

3.) Some people like the blow-off valve sound. Im not a huge fan. But when buying a preformance car I would hope that wouldnt be a deal breaker.

GREAT FIND! I bet the T/C Cobalt with say intake, exhaust, tune could probably drop that Nurburgring time even more. I'm really glad to see that the car handles well and isn't just a straight line racer. I'd love to see Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear review the car. He'd tear it apart but it'd be fun.
