Lock out?

I went to get in my car this morning, & when I tried to start it, a light came on the dash with a lock & a car inside it. & the car wouldn't start. the boost gauge will spike 5psi, & that's it. any idea how to override this so I can drive my car again? lol! thanks guyss

thats what mine does when its being flashed, not the lock though you arent tuned are you?

first go to your bcm fuse panel and locate the 2amp passkey fuse and see if its blown. if its blown try replacing it. chances are if its blown then the wiring behind the radio has rubbed through and is causing a short and needs to be patched up otherwise it will keep happening to you.

this happened to me twice. once i was outside a friends house on the other end of town and had to fix it in the dark and the second time i was at the hair cutters with a friend and her daughter in -40 weather again had to fix it outside.

if its under warranty yes but otherwise its a 15 minute fix

Could just be security lockout, your owners manual provides a procedure to reset it. It happens sometimes if you change keys or key fobs or sometimes gremlins just get in there.

Key to run position 10 mins cut off back on 10mins cut off back on 10 mins off then crank.

bet ya all $10 its the fuse.

the reason i say its the fuse is simple, if the key unlearned itself which is very possible there wouldn't be anything happening, no lights no nothing but with the passkey fuse blown the key still operates correctly but will not let it crank at all but will still give function to everything else.

thanks for all the imput. lol we got it fixed. my battery was dying so i think that had a part in it.
but no, i never fixed my shift problem, i couldn't figure out how. lol one day when I have time i'll spend more time on it.. but thank you guys )
