Did you reset your battery? Short term will change immediately even after you reset.

In a perfect world yes, but way to many factors can throw it off like fuel, temp, elevation, ect.. It is better to be neg though..

-3 is very common. I'm on GMS1 with stock intake and new filter. It ranges almost 3% depending on the gas in the car.

completely normal dude. STFT will never be steady as its a constant reading of the changing fluctuations. It will bounce all over the place.

Curious, what did your K&N SRI look like with regards to fuel trims.

With that said and in terms of your other post about the CEL. You do not have a boost leak.

wait a minute... Is the LTFT staying at -3.0 or is it constantly dropping...

YEah, you have to tune for any intake. Guys will say they put one on and aren't having any problems, but they are the owners that don't have logging software, so they don't even know what's going on. Cheers to you for buying the equipment to scan with.

Also when discussing LTFT, tell us what gas you are running. Makes several percent difference.

I see almost a 3% gain in LTFT by using 94 vs. 91. Same if I take 91 and add a gallon of E85
