Mods Are Almost Ready!!!
If he's really doing Pedders coilovers, as the original list states, he's going to be pleasantly surprised. Even the Pedders springs are very nice, esp when paired with a rear bar.
So, as I've been stated in a few other threads about the mods I've bought, now it is almost time to install everything. All I need to receive is the turbo kit, which should come next week, And right after new year I should be able to drop off the car for installation.
What's coming in is:
(2009 Black SS)
ENGINE:
- Perf. Autowerks turbo kit Precision 55/57 with modular catless/catted DP
- Catback exhaust (still didn't decide between custom made or Hahn or Treadstone)
- Valve cover red from modernperformance (already installed)
- Hahn intercooler
- NGK coldest iridium sparks
INTERIOR:
- gauge faces from blackcatcustom
- dual bezel cluster pod fron buyhids with autometer c2
- triple pillar pod from zzp with autometer c2
- TWM with aluminum round heavyknob w/redlinegood boot (already installed)
- Sparco grip pedals (already installed)
- Momo carbon pitstop ebrake w/redlinegood boot (already installed but needs a fix)
- Carbon fiber dash trim (to be installed locally here in NY)
- SS floor mats from modernperformance
SUSPENSION AND HANDLING:
- Pedders coilovers
- Eibach front and rear sway bars
- H&R wheel spacers 20mm front and 15mm rear with longer studs
- Toyo Proxes almost new (already on the car when I bought it)
DRIVETRAIN:
- Clutchmaster stage 4
- Clutchmaster flywheel
- TTR engine mount
- Ingalls
- OTTP Stage 2 tranny mounts
- Driveshaftshop level 5 Axle
Can you guys give me an opinion if I bought the right stuff? Is it anything you would add to anyone of these? Thank you, I hope I hear from somebody.
BTW, I'm just looking for suggestions if you guys can help me by telling me something not listed here that you have on your car and you think I should put it on. Because the entire installation will be done by Nick at BackYardTurbo, and nothing in the world will make me change my mind as far as going to a different place.
Thank you all!
Christian
BTW: R1 concept drilled/slotted premium rotors, HP+ pads, stainless steel brakelines from zzp, to be installed in the summer

- Ingalls
- OTTP Stage 2 tranny mounts
Eibach front and rear sway bars
Do not install the TTR mounts or the Ingals along with the OTTP rotated mounts!
They will not allow the proper rotation and will vibrate the **** out of the car.
Just install the tranny mounts and call it a day.
Also, don't mess with the front sway bar...just the rear. I would get the POWELL HARDCORE or Street bar for the rear. I have the street and it's PLENTY. Most people don't realize that there is ALREADY a rear sway bar integral with the rear axel, so this is not a replacement..it's ADDITIVE.
i have b&g coilovers... the only difference between me and you is you have a bigger front sway bar(which i was talking about removing) and better lca's & i got better springs and shocks/struts & a lower center of gravity
If you're wanting colder NGKs, I've got some 3787s I may be able to sell you. I'd be careful with plugs, as the LNF can be picky. Keep an eye out for misfires and such.
Many have been having good luck with 3787s, but I decided to stick to reasonable boost / stock turbo, and so I stuck with stock plugs and have the 3787s laying around unused.

As far as the sway bar, the front one on our cars is gold, the street bar will help out the rear and the hard core bar will be good if you track the car a lot.
Yep...just get the OTTP rotated mounts and call it a day, the Ingals dampener was a band-aid for the SS/SC, and the upper motor mounts not designed for a rotated transmission mount. The OTTP rotated mounts will be more than enough.

And what should i do? It's about 400 bucks worth it of stuff. Unless somebody wants to buy them, I'm not just keeping them home doing nothing with them. At this point minus as well installing them and see how the car runs
byt told me it should be fine, we'll see. Worst case scenario, i will put the stock mount back

Define improvement though...
Some of these mods are done with certain end goals in mind... i.e. Road Course, Auto-X, Drag, or a balance of the above.
With many mods, you give up one thing to gain another. Otherwise it would be that way already from the factory most likely.

I can tell you that the ottp mounts didnt rotate anything. The mounting holes line up perfect to the factory ones. The one thing they do is have a smaller rubber bushing so the motor doesnt move as much. I dont think you would have a problem with the ttr mount as well. The only thing is you will have more vibs then with the stock motor mount.

Mine were different when I laid the new OTTP front on top of the stock one. The new main hole was lower by between 1/8" to 1/4" IIRC. The spacer rotated the rear, of course. I just got the rear u/g in the mail so I'll try the same thing with it.
