Mods you DIDN'T like...

So, I've read a lot on here about this mod and that mod, or this tune and that tune. Everyone seems to think their changes are the best. What I'd like to hear is what parts/mods/tunes people have done that they haven't enjoyed much, or even regret. Mostly I want to learn from your mistakes!

I think my tinted tail lights with VHT is one I dislike the most. I spent hours on them and they still came out a bit dull. I have to buff them constantly to keep a shine.

If I could go back, I would have done a tint film or replaced them with the already tinted LED tails.

To start off with my intentions are NOT to bash a company for their product(s). I have fully bolted my cobalt with a a mix of different parts from different companies including: Trifecta, Modern Performance, ZZP, Dejon, Injen, AEM, and Forge Motorsport. I have roughly 24K on my car and (knock on wood) I have only experienced two problems/malfunction. The first problem I incurred was with Injen's cold air intake. Every time there would be a torrential rains, my car would want to hiccup when i got into the boost (assuming moisture in the filter). I corrected to problem by deleting the lower piece of the intake that routed down behind the bumper. I went and bought a offbrand filter at Advance and made a short ram out of it. It's ran fine ever sense. The second problem was with Forge Motorsport's BPV. I went through 3 of the yellow (20psi rated) springs. Each spring failed within a month. Mike at Forge was very helpful in sending out new springs free of charge. But by the time i popped the third spring I was over Forge's product. Then I decided to revert back to using the stock BPV coupled with Dejon's BPV spring upgrade. Now I dont get that nice noise, but if i want noise I have a Tial BOV on my SRT lol. I know many people use the Forge and love it. Personally I think Forge is a great company with good products, I honestly believe I received a defective BPV. It happens lol.

i think a lot of CAIs are like this... mine is also like this

kind of off topic but on topic at the same time. vince is trying to tune my car, and he is having a lot of times getting the fuel trims correct... he is thinking it is the intake... was yours any trouble?

I can believe not liking the rotors (or more correctly, not liking paying for something with debatable efficacy), but what didn't you like about the Hawk pads, and which ones specificially did you not like? I've been looking at them pretty hard for my first pad replacement.

I've got the HPS pads. While they produce very little dust, they certainly don't grab as hard as the stock ones.

R1 concept rotors. the rotors themselves are fine I just wish I had gotten smooth rotors. The appeal of drilled wore off really quick. I wanna do some track days but I'm paranoid that my rotors are gonna crack.

Mines not bad. 2.2 S/C. Except its an automatic. Don't want to dump more money into mine though for more power and need to build the motor. So I'm looking for something new.
