Mothe******k - hail damage on my SS/TC.

So came home from work today and decided to hop in the shower. Lo and behold I start hearing some banging while I'm showering and I come out and there's f*cking marble/golfball sized hail coming down outside on my SS/TC sedan. I'm f*cking livid. There's little dime/nickel sized dents all over the hood and the roof now and 3 or 4 little ones on the passenger front fender and passenger doors.

I don't even have plates on the car yet and this sh*t happens.

Yeah, I have full coverage, so it's not a big deal money wise, but it still pisses me off that the car is going to have to be repaired. The thing was perfect, it had one dent on the whole car.

My fiance's car got 8500$ worth of hail damage a few years ago. Took the money and paid off the car. lol. She wrecked it again later, and got most of the panels replaced anyways. Worked out in the end

And yes, post pics!

Paintless Dent Repair. You won't be able to find them if the guy is good.

I'm going to get pics later today -- I would take some right now, but the car is all wet since it was raining all night here. I wiped it off after the storm yesterday to see the damage and I was so pissed off I didn't even think about taking pictures.

Does insurance cover PDR at all? I'm thinking that might be the way to go if they can fix it to look perfect again. I'd really rather not take it to a bodyshop and have them end up keeping my car for like a month.

A quality bodyshop, approved by your insurance co, will have an in house PDR guy, or at least one they are partnered with.

They can even take out dents in body creases. The stuff that a good PDR guy can do is incredible.

Pictars:

The dents are hard to see on the white unless you're standing there in person and the car is inside or in the shade. They are there though. Pretty much every panel on the car has atleast 1 dent on it. I got a preliminary estimate today for $2150 to fix it. It was all PDR too, but it was subletted through a bodyshop. My insurance company has me scheduled to go to a different bodyshop tomorrow for inspection and I guess we will see where they take it from there. There's a guy in town who runs a PDR shop and I'd like to take it directly to him, but we will see what the insurance company says. If they just cut me a check and send me on my way, I'd like to take it to him.
