mpx

anybody ever have fitment issues with the mpx downpipe and exhaust? I had to heat up my down pipe at the bend and bend it toward the ground so my cat back wouldnt hit the heat shielda and gas tank. Also the muffler isn't all that centered and goes a little left of being centered.

it also seems to make my car shake and vibrate a bit and also i couldn't make the o2 bung extender work because it didn't have room to go in.

If your car hasn't been in an accident, I'd say you have a bad pipe.

When I first installed my ZZP downpipe when my car was brand new with 2k ish miles on it, I had to bend the factory heat shield a little bit to prevent the downpipe from hitting. I agree with the others about if you have to bend the downpipe itself at all, I'd say you have a bad downpipe. The pipe itself should require no bending whatsoever.

well i already did it and it is stainless so no harm done. just pissed me off. i still cant get the o2 extension in which is a big **** off because i went for a drive and my cel came on. I thought it wouldn't because it's a mpx downpipe with cat and is angled as well but it might as well seeing how everything else was fucked.

I have the mpx catless and it went right in with no problems from the down pipe just i had messed up the threads on the bolts in the O2 housing so i replaced them with ones from Home Depot.

i dont get why my cel is still on though. It has a cat, angled o2 bung, and I just put the defouler in and reset by unhooking the battery and it came on as soon as I turned it off and on again.

Im thinking I messed the o2 up by twisting the wires too much.

Very common error. It's better to unplug the O2 sensor and remove it with the pipe, then install it in the new pipe before installing the new pipe in the car. Too late for that advice, though.

you had to bend your head pipe?

wow, that's screwed up.

I have their stuff ~ IMHO it's the best out there...

Bending your head pipe would move the catback connection point in relation to the rest of hte car ~ and would probably shift the exhaust some...

If I would have had any problems I would have contacted MPx before modifying anything.

ohh well it's already done and it sits nice now. It was my o2 by the way. I just put a new one in and reset the codes and it's gone.
