Anyway, i love my balt... Now that she is tuned and running properly sorta(still misfires under NLS)

i have been getting a pretty good amount of respect for it now...And trust me i had to earn it. I had doubters before i got the car... now people believe the potential....

I went to a meet last night, because my roommate got his Golf r on sat and is still breaking it in... I got respect from some of the GTI guys that were there gocking over my roomates car... the one guy had a borg warner efr on this GTi and was like i know you car is fast man lucky to mod if for so cheap.. and wanted to run me... we never got around to it... so on the way home when we pulled out... me and my friends(golf r and 2012 v6 mustang) everyone follows it was the crazy thing ever...S2k, Si, 350z... we get on the highway and midnight madness... it was clear i guess because it was monday night...

my buddy with the mustang raced the S2k, it was a close race, the s2k won...
The Si wanted to run me....Waste of gas...then i raced the s2k and the 350... wasted both of them..

anyway we got back to the house... and my one roommate has ordered a 2013 5.0 mustang.... and think he is already becoming a cocky bastard... All my friends are like i cant believe how fast your balt is blah blah... he comes out and starts trashing my balt...

HE was like your suspension is terrible and bouncy i wouldnt get those replace eibachs without struts... im told him the stock struts handle lowering fine.... so he eventually lives it alone. i go to bed

i wake and my friends gchatted me that he
1. thinks the golf r will blow my doors off...with my tune...
2. thinks that when he gets his 5.0... I will stand no chance in hell

he also thought my buddies v6 mustang would kill me...and you saw that vid... he is the one saying "you got him, you got him" even tho i let off the accelerator...

I think he is just being a hater...

So SS.net... whats your take on the mustang owner?

and how can i trash this clowns 5.0 its a tad personally now...

sidenote- i raced a camaro ss with work done and barely beat it....

 

I think the 5.0 is the ****. If I had the money I would definitely buy one. Completely stock they're fast with some good tires ,exhaust, tune maybe intake I would think they would be able to brake into 11s. You really can't compare the two. The mustang is on another level. Even of you beat it you still have a cobalt and he has a 5.0.

 

I eat V6 mustangs for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Since you have a tune you should be able to hang with the 5.0. I have seen a youtube vid of a TC and 5.0. It was pretty close but the 5.0 was tuned also

People with mustangs act like they bought a 1000 whp vehicle. In fact just got my first kill on Easter from a V6 mustang. It was brand new (paper plates). And I havent even got my plates in either. He wanted some so I took him. Look on his face was priceless when we were even then NLS him into 4th and was GONE. He had that look on his face from Ja Rule in fast and furious. NO!!!!!! MONICA! Lol

 

Agreed . The 5.0 is pretty nice. Its funny hearing this really nice muscle car and here we are with 4 cylander turbos lol. Thats why I got a cobalt SS/TC

 

Where I live here in Texas, there are so many mustang GT and 5.0 drivers and they all have this same attitude.

One of the main reasons that I can't stand mustangs.

 

Thats Fine with the whole 5.0 and i have a cobalt, No reason to be a Douche bag about it.

Thats my whole problem, Out of my friends i currently have the fastest car... It jsut appears he hates that...Like i said if i wanted niceness i would have got the Genesis, like i planned. I prefer the Camaro SS to the mustang anyway... I need to Race him and Try to beat him..when he bought his 2010 GTI and i had supercharged my cavalier he thought it was slow.. till i kept up with him and about beat him...

my tune was pretty aggressive. it will be closer for you since your at sea level. that was the famous 30 spike tune that everyone loves to hate. lol. im on a bigger turbo now tho.

just make sure you NLS at about 6k and dont miss any gears and you should take the win.

Ahh, you're over there with my buddy that has the mk6 gti with the EFR turbo. He has about 360 whp with a 7163 EFR. You should run it with him, that would be a really good race. He always runs it with a ton of cars. Here is his youtube channel-- zhijjawi10 - YouTube

all you need is a tune and you can beat a stock 5.0.
GMS1 can barely hang with a stock one.

 

Yep, that would be me lol. Yea he has a lot of hp but needs injectors for more. The only company that produces injectors for that motor will not sell it to him. They said he needs to buy their kit for them to give the injectors.. I don't blame them though, nobody else could do it besides APR.


Anyways, you should run it with him now. You have about 300+ whp and 350 wtq and your car weighs about 200 lbs less than his. You also have better gearing too, you have one less gear change than he would from 40-130mph. It should be a good race.
