New guy needing some help!!

Ok nice site everyone, im new to this forum but not forums in general. So i should be harmles, LOL. Just wanted to say HI

Anyways I purchased a 08 cobalt SS/TC last weekend from a local dealership buy my work. LOVE the car!!!!!! But here is my delima, the car has been modified a tad and im trying to get ahold of the privius owner and didn know if by chance some body might reconize 1) the car 2) the story about the car. Also i had a quick ? to ask as well.

So here goes.....

My question is does anyone know who the manufacture is of the oe clutch assembly? Reason why im asking is i bought the car w a noisey trans and was wanting to replace the clutch while the trans is out. The clutch disc and pressure plate that came outta the car both have SACHS stamped on them. Now i did some research on SACHS website and they dont have a listing for this car. So that why im asking if anyone knows who makes the oe one, thanks in advance on this.

Now trying to find the previous owner

My car is a 2008 Black cobalt from the New Hudson Michigan area. It has been debaged and is wingless as well. The mods from wut i can tell are the GM upgrade, k&n dropin, HAHN catback, a black one piece aluminum charge pipe, lower engine mounts, some red lowering spring, and HID converted lows and fog lamps. The story i got from the dealership is that the previous owner drove this car donw here to noblesville indiana and traded it in on a late model EVO 6 sp.

I was able to get his name and number but havent been able to reach him yet, and im really needing to especially about the whole clutch thing. Any help from everyone on here is and will be greatly appriciated very much!!! Thanks in advance

No worries, you still have the stock clutch. Mine had Sachs stamped on it when I took it out. It wouldn't hold my torque.

Ok thanks. For a stock clutch its holding pretty good then. I dont plan on doing to much to the car so im assuming this clutch should be fine for me again?

The stock clutch holds to 360-370 wheel torque, If you are going to stay with the GMPP tune you should be fine. I'd replace the slave cylinder (throw out bearing assy) while you are in there though if it has >20-25k miles on it. It's around $65 if I recall right.
