New Treadstone lower CP (MAF relocate) + LOLOLOLOLOL I R dumbzors haha

Ok so I jsut got the revised lower charge pipe in from treadstone... good piece. Looks sexy all black like the rest of the pipes. After getting the sensors out of the old one and putting them in the new one I installed it per usual standards. It fits a little tight since there is now a 3inch section of tube for the MAF sensor but it fits like a glove.

Now for the LOL part....................

On the way to work today after getting everything all put together and such I am going up a hill on the freeway and decide to get on it to see how the sensors are working and such... Would have been a great pull, boosted right up to 24 psi and looked great on the maf scale and map sensors then................. PPPPPOOOOOOFFFFFFfffffffoooosssshhhhhhhhhh!

LOL my ******* forgot to tighten the t clamp on the intercooler side of the lower chargepipe haha... I'm surprised it held 24 psi for as long as it did.

HAHA Flame suit on.

Lesson to everyone out there make sure your stuff is all buttoned up before you take off haha... I usually am pretty good about that but this time I just plain forgot cuz I was kinda moving quick to get to work when I was reassembling everything

Haha dude you have no idea... I was in 4th at 24 psi doing about 85mph when the silicone coupler finally said "F-YOU BIZNATCH" it was funny as hell I knew exactly what happend so aside from the initial o **** moment I wasn't worried. The tclamp had the courtesy to stay on also... good stuff. Now I jsut gotta go find an 11mm socket and tighten it up and I'll be fine.

I just got my car back from the shop for some repairs to the front end and they didn't see my evap purge valve busted. So I had a sweet sounding blowoff valve every time I'd go into mid-throttle acceleration on the highway haha.

Hahaha, glad it was just a simple error and nothing broke.

PM me and let me know what Jason charged you for that pipe and what you did with your old one. I think I want to get it too before I install my CP's in a couple weeks.

Don't feel bad man, we bought my wife a 1997 Saab SE turbo to drive to work yesterday but it wasn't boosting.
So I found out the LICP wasn't tightened into the coupler (instant boost leak). I fix that good and tight, she takes it for a drive and comes back.
She tells me it boosted once in 2nd gear then nothing, I went out and looked and I forgot to tighten up one of the couplers in the uicp when I was making sure they were all adjusted correctly.
**** happens

The tune works well with it... from what I can tell from the short pull I got lol... I am going to run some logs tomorrow when I am on the way to work so I can send them to term and make sure its all good.

Haha sorry dude I forgot to take one before I got it on... It looks very similar to the normal one just with a 3-2.5 inch reducer welded in before the throttle body so the MAF can be mounted in it.

Since I was pretty much the first one to mount all this stuff and I helped them with some of the development of it, he shipped it to me for free to finish testing. My old one is a chopped up pieced together pipe. I won't be giving it to anyone since I can't guarantee the reliability of it. Ask Jason, I'm sure he will take care of you if you return the old one or something.

Yea but I usually am more of a perfectionist than today. I had to drive like 40 miles with a cp half blown off tonight on the way home... I was stressin bad about sucking something up in there. It seems as though everything is ok so I'm just going to get everything together correctly.

I kinda just did this thread as an example to others to take their time and make sure everything is done right before you take off... Even if you are sure everything is done right check again... I usually do and look what happened the first time I didn't.
