that sucks. I like saabs. My dad has an older turbo vert and I like it even though it's kind of ugly. But the new saabs look pretty pimp.

no ****, I'd go g8 too if it weren't for the gas mileage. I just can't do it. But that car is so pimp!

I don't care so much about a single set of runs from a driver who doesn't have much experience with the car, especially when there have been lower times reported by reputable sources.

Let's not forget about Nurburgring.

My dad's G8 GT should be arriving at the end of May. He better let me drive it.

yea, i'm not quite ready for the kids yet, luckily the gf is on the same page with that but eventually i'll need a more "family" type of car. i'll probably end up keeping the ss/sc for a long time, and it will most likely be the last "fun" car i have for a while

if anything, i'd like to keep it, and when i get my next car keep it as a project car and go ***** out with it especially if the resale keeps getting worse and worse.

Nurburgring is totally different than a drag track. The cobalt wasn't designed to drag anyway. Funny how more people care about it's drag times though.

It was a great car, I loved it. But I need something that can handle the tuning.
This car was just made to wave people good-bye on the highway and look good doing it.

Cause on the highway, I smoked everything. Even a brand new TL-S

It's just a pig from a dig and didnt like the tuning

i bought the car for 15,000, had it about 8 months, and i'm still a few grand upside down. nobody wants the cobalts. look at the people on this site selling beautiful cars, can't get rid of them for 15,000 or less. it's a shame. but the general masses think the cobalt is a joke, and wouldn't want one, especially with all the nonsense bad reviews it's got over the years.

G8 GT. Is ******* fast. I got the privelege to test drive one. It was beautiful.

But its out of the price range. I got into that car for a while but i realized i was 19 and can't afford it. So the balt helped cure the woes

Oh, I completely agree. I doubt I would ever take it to a track if I got one, so it doesn't bother me too much.

I know, crazy. I was in guam when these cars came out and I hawked these forums hard core until buying my own cobalt ss supercharged. I even took leave home to sc and test drove a few while i was there. lol. wth am I talking about, i still hawk these forums. lol.

But yea, the only problem I have had with my car at all, the linkage roll pin, but I put a aircraft bolt in it now, so no problem. Plus I've been pretty happy going from a 14.8@94 stock to 13.6@100 slightly modded. I know the car has a lot more in it as well.

I keep telling the wife, that I'm not ever getting rid of it. If it blows up, i'll rebuild it. or swap in a v8 and convert to RWD. LOL.

I'm definitely looking forward to trying out my dad's. Should look pretty much exactly like this:

It's gonna kick a lot of ass.

Yeah it is! I'm gonna try to get him to mod it (tastefully, of course), although I don't think he's too keen on the idea right now.

He should start off with some HIDs for those projectors and some dark tint. That should do for a while.

I wonder what kind of problems you'd run into with the cylinder shutdown if you tried supercharging...

supposedly the ecu will adjust accordingly, so shouldn't matter right? Now the launch thing, I dunno.

I don't see why you'd run into cylinder shutdown, people supercharge lsX engines all the time.

probably wouldn't be that big of a deal if it was an average joe doing the driving, but considering this guy is the drag master, everyone is highly dissappointed.

I mean the fuel-saving feature that shuts off four of the cylinders when they're not needed. Probably wouldn't be too big of a deal, though, no.
