I can't believe you've got coblat owners shitty on another cobalt. you guys don't deserve to be a gm fans. i own a ls1 camaro ss and i don't go basing on a lt1 cause its not ls1. get out of denial and realize that when guys figure out how to drive them your gonna get your ass handed to you. if your going to keep your sc cobalt dont bash the guy who decides to buy one, man get over it.

uh??? read any other post i ever put up about the ss/tc,k i was all about it.. but with the no-lift shift and 260hp i was definately expectin better then a 14.7 in this vid .. maybe it was just the driving, i hope it was becasue the numbers are ******* embarrassing for a turboed car. i can only go by what i see on the net until they come out and i can see for myself.
but let me geuss ur one of the ones gettin it.. so maybe ur the one in denial and have fun driving a stock 14 second ss/tc for the next year before any mods come out for it.

But the problem here is two fold:
- 90% of all Cobalt owners are in the 18-25 year old range
- e-thuggery is at an all time high on just about every internet forum out there
So if you take all that unrestrained testosterone and combine it with people who have a ton of opinions but very little experience to back up those opinions - and you get a lot crass, nasty, derogatory and immature behavior.
More often than not, it seems more like a high school cafeteria in here than a dedicated car forum for automobile enthusiasts ...
(the above does not pertain to the few good eggs who are out there ... you know who you are!)

These events where car manufacturers bring out new performace cars to an even and let a pro driver show them off are often more embarrasing than anything . I have almost never seen an even remotely close to good run out of any car in a situation like this . I have seen a 2006 Z06 driven to mid 13 sec ET at a NHRA event , back when the 98 LS1 F-bodies came out ....GM put pro drivers in new WS6 trans ams for a small shootout at the US nationals and then again at a bristol NHRA event ....I dont recall even one of them getting out of the 15's@99-100 mph . I remember people around me in the stands saying how GM fucked up because they were so slow

Got to agree. He obviously is not the average driver, I think the electronic aids slowed him down, let's see what he could do with LIFT SHIFT and no launch control, those runs look rough at best..
