Non-sufficient Dyno Results Trifecta 24 psi

Hi all.

Just dynoed (Dynojet) today at Colvin Automotive in Austin, Tx. It was about 95 degrees outside.

The first dyno sheet shows stock vs tuned. The second dyno sheet I had spark blowback for some reason, thats why its all wack.

Stock Tune: 246 HP, 241 TQ
Trifecta 24 PSI tune: 284 Hp, 330 TQ

Any reasons why my numbers are lower than they should be? I'm sitting at a 38 hp gain from my mods/tune.

My mods are:

CIA SRI
CIA Downpipe (high flow cat)
MPX catback exhaust with muffler
ZZP top charge pipe
24 PSI trifecta Tune

Do the AFRs seem right?

recently changed the plugs, went with stock plugs gapped to 0.034, the originals were at 0.036 when I pulled them. I bought the car with the intake, downpipe, chargepipe, and tune. Never dynoed before today, rather disappointed.

Thanks for the help

I don't know if thats corrected or not. The pull was made in 4th gear, which I guess is very close to a 1:1 ratio with the LSD

i'm guessing so since its labeled sae.

i mean really 38/89 increase isn't that bad for just adding the tune. intake, exhaust, and one pipe isn't going to make ZOMG numbers ya know.. throw in the lower pipe and intercooler. maybe switch to e85 or run a mix of 110 and pump gas for a 100 octane mix and tune again. what fuel were you one anyways?

That was 93 octane. Shell V-Power.

The best I have ran on a track was a 14.0, but I know a lot of that is driver mod.

also lsd isn't going to effect any ratio though. 3rd and 4th are pretty much even when choosing a gear to dyno in. majority go with 3rd simply because its less wheel speed. which means the dyno doesn't work as hard to slow down, and if something were to break, they'd much rather have it happen at ~115mph vs ~155mph

That seems bang on to me.. CAI and high flow cat are the only real performance mods.

catless is the real gains, and in most cases CAI does nothing? maybe im wrong though, id say stingy dyno as your tq both stock and tuned seems only slightly low..

besides don't think of it as only 284whp. think of it as only 16whp away from 300..

Numbers look right, throw an intercooler on there and you can go a bit more aggressive with the tune.

I hit 13.85 on a 20psi trifecta tune tonight, and im a terrible driver too

I'd say the temps are hurting you quite a bit. Going by the times on the sheet you did the second pull within a minute of the first and they get pretty hot on a dyno. Especially on a 95 degree day.

You said it was 95* outside, there's your problem. High ambient heat kills cars, especially fi cars

Great numbers for 95* and no cold soak between runs.

I guess thats what I get for dynoing in the Texas Summer. Would a new intercooler make a significant difference? I have been looking at the shorter version of the ZZP one for a while. I thought the temps were about the same, just better endcaps.

If its corrected though the temps wouldn't affect that reading. Thats what the correction is for.

Yea Ive seen some post where the ambient temps were about the same, and yes the end caps are the problem on the stocker.

I have the full size ZZP intercooler Im lowered and havent had any issues!! Go full size!

If you're not on an E-mix, I can't accept these numbers.

It's hotter than the 3rd level of Hell, in Austin. 102 today with horrible humidity.
