No, do not get a new sensor. Your sensor is fine. The wiring to the sensor is what's wrong. Give me a sec, I'll get you the links to the wiring that you need to fix it.

Your picture doesn't show me enough of the harness to know if you have the solder in kit, or the plug and play kit. Based upon the fact that it has the white wires I believe it to be the solder in kit.
That's this one:
ACDelco Pigtail PT 1863 88988320
if those wires are only about 6 inches long, then to into another plug, then you have the plug and play kit:
Cobalt, Solstice, HHR Stage Kit Harness Adapter 19212670H
What I would do it message Tom @ ced, and ask him to look here at your picture and make sure I linked the right kit for you.

IIRC GMS1 upper map has 4 pins but stock map has 3 pins so one is not used when swapping out the stock maps for the GMS1 maps. Hence one wire not hooked up. That does not mean those wires are correctly spliced though.
The bottom set is spliced, so I guess that's not it.. What is a fix for the p2227 code then I can not figure it out. A new ECM was the solution in another thread so I wonder if that's it. But I know I'm tuned, so idk what to do there
Hmm never run across the P2227 before so not sure on the fix but check all the connections and clean both maps with carb cleaner (they get gunky). If all connections good swap the maps around from top to bottom since they are the same. See if the code disappears or changes.
I've looked at the sensors the connections are good, I'm gonna clean them out tonight because I have to work. But ill post back tomorrow and let you guys know if the code goes away or what! Thanks again
