Whole new car with these tires on it!! Just feels so much more planted everywhere. I can actually launch 1st gear with controllable wheel spin, hit 2nd and get a lil chirp then the car just pulls!! Whole new world LOL!

How many people are running a track style tire over a A/S or just summer tire?? And what ones?

i run Nitto 555R Drag radials in front and the Nitto NT-01 in the back on my car. Tires are great, but the NT tires are horrible in rain so be careful, especially if your running them on all 4 corners. I like the NT-05 though. Look sweet too

Ive been driving them in the rain mostly, they arent bad. Ive run DR's on cars and other track style tires, so Im def aware of the terrible wet weather handling. These so far have been the best in the rain from what I've run.

Ive been looking at tires, I just wish I could get a tire like that. I was going to buy some conti dws all seasons but no, right after i started looking for the best price, within 3 days they were on national back order until the middle of may. Now IDK wtf to buy. I bet those tires are really fun lol.

Be careful on them until they warm up. They get hard as a rock when cold.

Anybody take the NT05s to a road course yet? I have KDW2s on at the moment, and they have such soft side walls! For my next set of tires it's either the NT05s or the Star Specs.

This car is really really great on a road course. I was passing Corvettes and Porsches all last weekend at Infineon.

I had this same tire. That is all I will be running year round. I think they handle great in the rain actually. It was shocking to me. Dry traction was good too.

I LOVE my NT05's. They are amazing in the rain. I have pushed the limits of these tires in the rain, and was amazed. People who AutoX run these or the NT01 as a rain tire, instead of R Comps, so they obviously don't suck. But, whatever you do, DO NOT take them to the track and do any sort of burnout with them. I went to the track, and did my normal scrub burnout to get the rocks off the tires, and give the tires a bit of heat (believe it or not, these NT05's need some heat), and suddenly half of my tread was gone, haha.

That said, I am thinking about ordering some soon, as I need to replace them already. I have about 10k miles on mine.

How much do these Nittos typically run?

I'm running Pole Positions right now, and in anything above 55 degrees they don't spin in 2nd... and they're even A/S! Very happy with them so far. That being said, Summer is almost here....

My boss has the NT05s on his veilside NSX and they are badass! Im running the NT555 Extremes right now and they hold traction in 2nd very well. Of course I dont have as much power as you but my stock dunlops and Nexxen N3000's would just spin in 2nd before. Nitto FTW!

I also have these On .!!!! Discount tire sent me NT05s and I ordered INVOS so they sent the INVOS back to me and now I have to send these NT05's back so now I am thinking I should have kept my mouth shut and just left the NT05's on they are a pretty noisy tire but holy **** do they grip the road ..

I had new brakes and R1 rotors on at the same time The car is just nasty

I run these General Exclaim UHP in a 245/40-18, at first I thought I made a mistake getting them but after wearing them in and getting the new crap off the tire, they grip pretty well. I've got similar results as BYT with his tires. Summer will be the true test when it starts getting 90-100 out. The generals were cheap so if I go through them fast I might try the Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 next.

If I decide to hit the drag I will buy 2 rims and put drag slicks on them.

If the Nitto's keep getting good reviews from members I might try a set next.

511 shipped.

I only do 10-15k per year anyways. Probably be $600 mounted and balanced.

I wouldn't mind having a pair of NTO1's for the drag strip. We don't get a whole lot of rain here in NM.

I just picked up some Runway Enduro's , they seem to hook nice, but they are still new.

The quote for the same size Direzza Star Specs was 812
