Opionions on IC and Charge Piping selections.

I'm looking to upgrade all the intake portion of my LNF first. There are quite a few dealers to go through, just wanted to hear what everyone else has had good lick with.

I was feeling like going all Hahn intake with their piping, Intercooler and cold air intake and maybe pickup a blow off valve.

What does everyone else think about setups and their longevity?

I have all Hahn, so far so good, no issues and the best part... no CELs... The next one to look at is the K&N SRI which doesnt give CELs as well... but just for your knowledge the lower ICP is a PITA to put on. also another side note, your stock BPV is good enough for your car if you are just running stock turbo.

Edit:

I will also say, that when I added my CAI from HAHN i did notice that my start ups were a little bit rougher, but settles down and runs great after... the LT and ST fuel trims are affected with the CAI

So what's better when it comes to intake of filtered air? Short rams or full CAIs?

I have K&N SRI, Injen upper charge, ZZP IC, ZZP lower charge. I'm happy with all of them. My lower charge pipe was a bitch to get in though.

To me, its all about what you want, Since chevy made an Air dam for the stock intake, there has to be a reason they made it as the air is not being heated by the engine compartment... as much... so I went with the CAI.. over all its your preference... You will hear a big difference with you stock BPV... i dont like being the obnoxiously loud BOV kind of guy, i like the "you dont know, until I step on it and make that beotch sneeze"

I think here is SoCal external blow off valves are illegal. So I might just try to stick with a recirculating valve.

I'm sure most charge pipes setups fit on, but is there a max diameter that will fit? I've seen some 3" and 2.75" as well.

stay away from Hahn, their crap rusts, I had it and swiched it all out. get K&n intake and zzp or something else for piping.

Has anyone had some good luck going through TurboXS systems? Like complete intercooler, intake and exhaust systems? TurboXs seemed a little more cost efficient.

I have the turboXS catless down pipe and charge pipes. The hot side charge pipes are really terrific, as is the down pipe. Good pieces and I'd buy them again. Recommended.

The cold side charge pipe puts the lower MAP right against the AC lines and the wires dangerously close to the fan. Poorly engineered, and I plan to replace mine eventually. As good as the other parts are it was a surprise to me to be as bad as it is because, again, the downpipe and hot side pipes are excellent parts.

Can't speak on the TurboXS exhaust as I just cut off the factory muffler and had a resonator welded in.

I'd go K&N for intake.

I just purchase and installed ZZP Full Front Mount Kit alone with 3in DP and 3in Catback from them as well. All the parts were very nice quality.

Was unsure if there front mount kit would actually line up within reason but I got mine together smoothly with no fitment issues.

I am not sure about other vendors as I have only been in the Cobalt game for about 3 weeks now. But I have no reason not to use ZZP products again.

There Customer Service was awesome to.

I also got there Intake tube and am working on a charge tube now to serve as the SRI. Should have something solid by the weekend.
