Oxygen Sensor question

I'm fixing to buy a new o2 sensor , but dont know which one to buy. I need the one that fits on the Dp inbetween the two cats. I dont not know if it is o2 sensor 1 or 2 that i need to purchase. Matter of fact, i've never seen another oxygen sensor anywhere else. Thanks for the help in advance.

This is what Rock auto has listed:

ACDELCO Part # 2134254 {#12616506}
SENSOR,HTD OXY(POSN 2)

ACDELCO Part # 2133844 {#12589380}
SENSOR,HTD OXY(POSN 1)

Position 1 is the one in the manifold... its the Wideband sensor I believe. and position 2 is the one in the downpipe. By the way... rock autos price is 41.99 on it, check some other places but I find Rock Auto is legit for replacement OEM parts at good prices... stick to the AC Delco

^this

Position 1 is the more expensive wideband that the car uses for fuel mixture.

Position 2 is the less expensive narrowband that the car uses for emissions checking purposes.

Cough, turn that off in the tune, cough, remove O2 senor, cough, put a plug bolt in the downpipe and call it a day cough cough... what? I would never tell someone to do something against smog regulations here in Commi-fornia.

For the rear one I could see doing that, but not for the front one lol.

So if I go downpipe shopping and I'm looking at catless downpipes; I noticed ZZP had a few options for them.

1. No Cat, No o2 bung.
2. No cat with angled o2 bung.
3. Offroad with standard o2 bung.

I know that the angled is to reduce the chance of throwing a code but what happens if I don't have an o2 bung at all? Does it effect my car in any negative way?

Also what would adding gaskets do?

And what does the wideband o2 sensor do? Is that for an aftermarket gauge?

if you are going to have a tune right away on the car you don't really even need a second o2 sensor. It is only used to make sure the cats are working... yea so not really needed. Most people go with something like a #3, no cats but with an o2 bung. not sure what you want to add a gasket to? The turbo/downpipe connection? Is there even one there? I dunno I don't even remember... The wideband is in the manifold right before the turbo so your engine can control its AFR.

The resonator on mine was half way to the rear axle. They are both cats in the downpipe. It's fairly common to have multiple cats on vehicles. My old S10 had 3 of the damn things.

I'll go look in my storage room at my apartment when I get home. I am almost positive there are 2 cats. Like I said, it was over a year ago when I had the stock downpipe in my hand so I may not remember perfectly but I recall the O2 bung being in between the cats.

EDIT: found this crap picture on google...

Yeah, we've got two cats.

Now that I look above though, it looks like that was already settled now though.
