the only cobalts that should have 2 cats are the ones equiped with SAI. all other cobalts should only have 1 cat

Just looked at my old dp, and the one in that picture above (on the right) is identical to my stocker. Looking like two cats to me.

looks like one cat to me. again the only ones that should have 2 cats are ones with SAI installed.

now i'm not saying yours doesn't and that there aren't cobalts out there with 2 cats but the mass majority of them should only have 1 cat

Dude, that isn't even our exhaust. I know in the listing it says it is but, at the top of the page disclaimer it says the information may not accurate. soooo yea... is this thread still going on about how many cats we have? also, the 2.2 exhaust is strikingly similar to the 2.0 turbo.

Does your car have only one cat or something? Why are you trying to convince everyone that our cars came with one cat.

because mine and every other cobalt i've ever seen has had one. with of the SAI ones (which we don't have up here) i could very well be wrong but have never heard of one without SAI having more then one cat because its not needed. not arguing or anything. i know it seems like i am though.

Oh I just read your car is a 2007. It's a supercharged one then or a NA? The turbo SS is different.

LOL dude, so if the year and model have no significance why are they different? I don't understand your logic, every turbo balt comes with 2 cats... it makes no sense for chevy to put 1 cat on some turbos and 2 cats on others. I don't doubt that your car has only 1 but ours have 2... k? thanks.

i owe you an apology RyRidesMotox, i had my buddy check his and his has 2 as well. my recollection seems to be a bit fuzzy but have also been under the assumption that all non SAI (turbo's included) only had 1. so i do apologize on that one.

but GM does do stupid **** like they did with the n/a's with SAI putting 2 cats in theirs and one in all others.

Dude, no need to apologize. GM does stupid stuff for sure... It doesn't surprise me that the turbo would have a different number of cats than a naturally aspirated car of the same year even... but the turbo's exhaust requirements are alot different than a NA car.

So I decided to take a picture of the pipe to show what I mean.

You could say there's one cat, but I deduce there's two...
