This is mine. Try researching you VIN using an RPO database. Our Cobalts are LEVEL 4 PERF.
First time I'm seeing of this, but if I'm wrong then I'm wrong and I can admit that. My question to you then is this then, wtf is a level 4 cobalt then? lol.. Is there a level 1, 2 or 3 cobalt ss and if so, what the hell is the difference?? It just sounds like one of those silly things to me to make something sound like more than it really is. Either way my bad then.

I'm looking back at your op and what made me comment on this to begin with was your statement saying "Not many people know this car exists or what a level 4 even means.". **** man, I'm pretty well embedded in the enthusiast scene and this is definitely the first that I'm even hearing of this, so for someone who's not interested in cobalts to not have a clue as to what a "Level 4 cobalt" is, really isn't very surprising in the least to be honest. I'm sure that I'm not exactly the first to learn of this news even on here today for that matter..

Think of the levels as the trims. SS is L4, LTZ is L3, etc. It's kinda like that.

That seems awfully redundant to add into a spec list if all SS's are level 4's then. It's like saying; I have a turbo 4 cylinder car BUT not only that, it also has 4 PISTONS!

From what I gather from this, there's no such thing as a level 3 or a level 5 (ect ect) so then why even menion it to begin with? lol.. You have a Cobalt SS.... end of it

Anyways.... ya live ya learn I guess. Moving on.

I believe I saw a 2007 SS without the supercharger. Had all the appearance stuff, just no power adder.

That is a 2.4 SS, Chevy FAILED and named 2.4 N/A Cobalt an "SS" from 2005-2007. In 2008 they changed it to Sport and kept SS for forced induction only. Most of the time people with buckets saying "oh I smoked an SS" they're probably referring to the 2.4L N/A 175HP 2005-2007 SS

I am curious if they called that a level 3... if they used that level system back then.

The 320/400 is an estimate. How far am I off? I used Trifecta for the 21/22 psi tune on 93 octane and she has never seen the dyno. Do you have a better estimate?

Try to find a nice, and i mean NICE 2009 4 door SS. I'm talking about
low miles, one owner, never wrecked, and in perfect shape. They are
extremely rare. I was offered 14K for mine (wasn't up for sale) and turned
them down. Last time i did an any distance search on autotrader, it turned up
four. and 3 of them were junk. lol.

I would trade mine for your sedan... I always liked the 4-door.

Some of you guys are reading way too much into this whole level thing. It's just a trim level numbering system, put in place for dealerships, to give them an even measuring tool of trim "tiers" across all models. Because not all of GM uses LS, LT, SS.

Level 1 (LS)
Level 2 (LT)
Level 3 (SS/NA)
Level 4 (PERF. SS)

I think the level 4 thing is refering to you having the fourth available trim of the car. For instance.

LS - 1
LT1 - 2
LT2 - 3
SS - 4
