Problem with dejon intake*BE AWARE*???
guys I have pictures, I looked and the ac line is rubbed but not broke, I will post pics in a minute, please tell me if its broke or not, I am pretty sure they lied to me about that! uploading now.....ETA 5 min?

+1,000,000!!! Ive hear tons of people saying its close to the AC line. Mine isnt any where near it. You really have to be careful installing this intake. Its very specific on how you line it up. Mine actually wasnt on correct the first time, and loosened itself up the next day. After that I took the time to ensure it was flush on the turbo and aimed at the right angle....seeing it doesnt mount anywhere other then to the turbo the only way to ensure the right angle is to step back and look, and then look through a few times and make sure everything looks good...after that I tightened the hell out of it and havent had a problem in over a month. AC works great!
So today it was hot here on Long Island and rolling down my windows wasnt doing it for me since I was in town with lights, each light I would sit there and bake in the sun. Soooooo I roll them up and turn on my ac in my car, it was the first time I would use the AC since I bought the car when it was cold out. turns out the AC does not work, so I am around the corner from my dealership, and go to see what is up with the AC.
FUN PART:
Now I have dejon intake and ic piping and then a bunch of other hahn goodies with a BCP tune
They come out with my intake and say wow look at the AC line, turns out my intake rubbed up against it and the ac line is SHOT! They made me pay 65 dollers due to voided warrenty and cost for labor on this, and told me they have to order my part and gonna charge me 500 dollers to replace the hose! I didnt do it and might at another time!
So my message is if anyone has the dejon intake or is wondering about getting it, make sure you check your ac line or space them out some how.....
ALSO my rear rotors are screaching like a tin garbage can being dragged behind me and they said its normal and thats how it is! the car is at 10,082 miles! They wont help me with that....WTF! O well
Just a heads up and does anyone have suggestions on why rear rotors are supposed to sound like that (BTW their sceaching only when driving NOT WHILE BRAKING)
I am 20years old and I bought my car, not my parents. If anyone has any suggestions for me please let me know and if you have the intake, check your ac line...?

not dejon's fault.
this isnt Dejons fault I dont believe. it is hard to fit that piping in their and im pretty suprised it put a hole in the AC system like that, but now that your aware of it fix the problem. Dejons intake gets you the gains you want for half the price, but may need a little perfecting yourself. Just gives me a reason to open the hood and be a grease monkey
NOT DEJON's FAULT I HAVE THE SAME SRI
Mine is mounted correctly flush to the turbo and it arches over the A/C line fine only touching part if it does is the plastic bleeder cap on the top it will flex the A/C line down pushing it even further away during vibrations.
BTW I very cautiously moved the A/C line over during install as well.

If you can get away with just running a shorter pulley that could work, otherwise you need someone to make a pulley & bracket to replace the AC compressor.
If AC line isn't hard to replace I'd say go ahead and do it, then put some **** between the two so it doesn't happen again. (Rubber)
Since the compressor clutch is off when the A/C is off you don't gain much of anything. Removing it will probably get rid of a 10lb compressor, but a morning constitutional will likely do the same thing and you won't be sweating in 90F temps when its raining.

Oh boy, here come the posts of people dumping the AC systems on their 08-09 cars for "weight reduction". Trust me dudes, it aint worth it
One day you'll get older & fat like me and NEED AC. Most of the AC is plastic, rubber and aluminum... you aint gunna lose much weight. And when the compressor is off the clutch is just free wheeling anyway.
