Proper way to fill coolant?
Well I bought a gallon of dexcool 50/50 then ran out and topped it off with Nestle Pure Life water
lmao driving around temp stays at 184* when I park it won't go over 194*...guess it cant be that bad right? Lol
The tap water has elements in it that will cause a build up over time and it's not good for the system if that helps explain more. It's almost like a build up in your shower from your water over time except in your engine
That's how mine is too now. It almost never goes over 190 unless sitting in traffic, and then never over 195-196. It will actually go into the 170's on decel lol. Ill bet GM used a mixture with more coolant then water..
if u wanna do it CORRECT like the way a mechanic will do it so that there are no air pockets in ur coolant u will have a funnel so that u can see the air pockets causing bubbles and once they stop u r done. but hey. since all of u guys no how to do it then go ahead. its not gonna cause any big problems but id rather do it perfectly then fine...
