umm, the flash is the tune. Think of it as playing your xbox360 on xbox live. you go out and buy a cool game, you start playing for a few weeks and people figure out some sort of glitch in the game. Then the next day you go to play your game and it says "there's an update available for this game" in order to play online you have download this update.
In a similar sense the flash is this update but for your cars PCM. The only thing different is that you have to pay for this update to your car and not updating your car does not prevent you from driving it. lol. Oh and they upload the new parameters/ operating system via the "flash". Not to be confused with either of these icons below
the "flash"
the "flash"......gordon

Quality thread guys....someone comes and posts a question and we get 3 moronic replies crying repost. Yet no-one even answers the question. So he wasted 1 post worth of bandwidth, and you waste 3x as much. CudaJoe at least helped clarify the OPs question, but never answered it.
OP, no, the dealers do not have the Stage 1 calibration yet, so they can't tune/flash your car to give you the stage 1 upgrade. When it comes out, you'll definitely be able to tell, it'll probably be the top post here .

The stage 1 kit includes 2 things: New sensors and a reflash. You can buy the sensors from vendors but the flash is not available yet.
Check out the Search feature right below to the left of where it says Welcome, ssturbo305. Type in Stage 1 Kit...Have fun reading

Or...if the question is simple enough, they just answer it again. This one could have been answered with one sentence..."No, the stage 1 kit calibration is not available yet"

Where'd ya read that Joe?
And just to be clear. Regardless if you get this flash done or not, you won't see this:
